Well, for those if you who predicted a 7000 gate, i think you have it spot on.
I know its early days but there are still a massive amount of tickets available. Maybe this cup or the opposition havent captured the imagination, or perhaps Sky coverage has had a big impact. But certainly no mad rush today.
I quite enjoyed the old days when you had to queue for a ticket for the big cup games
Looks like it’d be a struggle to get to even the 7K looking at that map currently I expected more in the lower.
Still two weeks until the match, might be a little more than 7000 depending on how many Leicester sell.
Saturday will have dented the optimism a bit. A win at MK would have kept the momentum going.
Still 2 weeks til the match most leave it late to get tickets.unless they need to get them asap.
Have Leicester sold their allocation anyone know ?
Not sure if it being an evening game rather than a saturday has had a major impact on attendance, I would most definitely say it has , but I’m still peed off as it was originally pencilled in for the 17th which I could of made, but now it’s moved a week later and it clashes with a pre booked holiday ( which I haven’t got the gonads to now cancel ) … if you know what I mean … she that will be obeyed at all time …
I’m thinking 9. Especially with a few decent results in between. Full top and bottom tier and most of the family and away end will be taken up by end of next week!
Same here mucka. Was looking forward to a beer together on the 17th. I’m going back home on the 18th
I am away on the 24th too…17th would have been ok for me. I wonder why it wasn’t on the 17th!
Because we play a fake team in the boycott cup on the 17th
The Fulham U21 EFL Trophy game was already on that day.
Think they should have moved that to be honest.
That would be more inconvenience, moving a game to fit another one in to then play Fulham another week.
This round of the Carabao cup was always scheduled over two weeks.
I agree.I had assumed the League cup would take precedence.
No need to if ties played over 2 weeks. We had no game planned for the 24th so rightly play it then.
Not sure why people ever assumed this would be on the 17th to be honest. Has to be played over that 2 week period, there’s already a game on 17th so you play it on the free date.
Not sure but I think you have to request moving a game and be able to give a good reason and there wouldn’t be one here.
Think the opposition can object as well and if they did without a good reason we wouldn’t be allowed to.
We had the Boycott Cup in July didn’t we?
I think the confusion of the two games were originally caused by syncing games to my mobile calendar and that automatically placed the both games on the 17th, and it later then changed to the 24th, so I suppose if others had synced their games app they would of had the same problem.
Anything involving a Premier League team, even an under 14s fixture, would take precedence in the eyes of the football organisations.
Which is exactly the reason why we should all continue to snub the competition and everything it now stands for
You could be right on that. I am still deciding whether to go next Tuesday.I have been to a few of these and seen some decent matches.
10k per win in the EFL trophy. And although many dislike the ethics of it I enjoy watching games where I can pick out future prospects or view some of our fringe players.
Many will have enjoyed the Birmingham game.
