Good luck, Myles. I wonder if there will be a red card. From short videos, it looks like he likes to play outside his comfort zone, i.e. he ventures yards from the goal line. Maybe kind of fly goalie. Being hornet is a coincidence.

Good luck to him albeit I would have preferred to see a permanent signing from us.

Welcome goalie. I assume you will be myles better than Hornby.

I know nothing about the lad apart fro what I’ve read on here.
Welcome aboard Myles, I hope you enjoy you’re stay with us.

Pretty sure he will have been promised to start as first choice. I’ve zero issues with signing our keepers on loan. Rushworth and simkin have been better than Evans and Jackson so it’s fine by me. Also if we signed a young keeper who went onto move to a bigger club then we probably wouldn’t get much money for them with the value of keepers the lowest of any position.

Great loan signing, saves the permanent budget for centre midfield

Good keeper too

Mates a big Watford fan (home & away) rates him, his injury at Rovers didn’t help at all, so needs first team game time at 24.

So welcome is what I say, but still don’t lump on

Agree with others that we’ve done well with loan keepers over the years. Had some bosters.
I just hope that this fella is good enough to keep Hornby on the bench, as unfortunately he’s not good enough to be first choice in my humble opinion.

Yes, I am not sure it was a good idea to keep Hornby. You want both keepers to be good enough. I suppose he did well enough in the cup matches but he did look decidedly shaky in the league games he played. And he is very one footed, which is a more serious issue for a keeper than it seems.

Hornby will be relatively cheap and he’s fulfilled the back up role at many league one/two clubs in last decade.

I think once he played his third and fourth game in a row last season we saw why.

You’d like to think in about 18 months Jenson Kilroy will be ready to seriously challenge so Hornby signing gives him chance to go out on loan at some stage next season.
