New contract for Donervon Daniels

Thanks for posting.

There was probably the miss of the season in there somewhere and the home keeper looks like he might have eaten a few pies in his time.

Yes tbf it’s difficult to judge in isolation but the level doesn’t seem brilliant, but it’s great for our players especially as it’s giving them great playing time to help their return to full match fitness.

I need to see if I have any Bonairean ancestry: I reckon that I’d get a game in goal for them! I see Lyle Taylor playing upfront for Montserrat - he was down the Bescot 2 weeks ago playing for Colchester! He missed an absolute sitter!

Only watched last half an hour of the match last night .I thought DD looked glad to hear the whistle .must have been a tough 90 mins for him coming back from the injury and op recently.Hope Lee Bower don’t push him too far got another game on Sunday ,two games in 4 days a lot I think ,full 90 mins .I detected a bit of a limp towards the end and when the players left the field .we’re going to need our Captain in the near future .at least Bower is an experienced manager .

Lost the return 1-0 , DD and Comley both played .

Looks like a really positive international camp for DD, two tough games, minutes under his belt and the sun on his back will have done him the world of good. Surely will be in contention for a starting spot this weekend?

:crossed_fingers:…move over Dave?

Watched the end of the first half, and all of the second. Dull scrappy game. Hard to credit that there were players on the pitch with FL experience. One of theBonaire players had played in the Dutch top flight. Hid it well, probably didn’t want to be show off.

Said the other day, in isolation it’s difficult to really tell the levels but fair to say it doesn’t look particularly high.
However from our point of view it’s great for our lads to get vital game time on their comeback trail

I remember an evening home game when Donervan was still on loan to us. We were abject and at the end of the game many of the fans were letting their feelings known to the players, who sheepishly had come to the edge of the pelanty area. Even though he had only been with us for a couple of weeks Donervan came straight to the wall and began talking to the fans, trying to calm them.
He’s a cut above your average footballer and I’m sure he’ll be an articulate and effective rep for his fellow professionals.

Agree with your post.

I don’t think Daniels was ever on loan to us though.

he left Crewe by “mutual consent” and signed a short term deal

I could have also sworn he was on loan though until i looked it up :grinning:

I see Robins gone at Coventry. Hope they dont look our way…

DD scored for Montserrat tonight. Both he and Comley played 90 minutes.

He got the assist but not the goal itself.

Noticed he didn’t play in the second game. Injured or suspended ? Comley looks to have played at CB in his place.
