New Sadler poll

Oh absolutely. Anyone who said we should give him a chance was absolutely one hundred percent correct. And “the king of pointing out when he is right” was definitely in the group that didn’t want Sadler.

I still think One of the best young managers in the country (as was claimed originally) is a bit of a stretch.

I listed them at the time for you. Check out the reply then.

Changes since then I would say are that the jury is no longer out, and Sadler has done a fantastic job so far this season, and he has definitely surpassed some of the names on that list so far.

Thanks, a few other names would be Matt Bloomfield and Jonny Jackson, both are similar in terms of games played/wins, the way they play football and both have their sides towards the top of their current leagues.

Lets hope Mat stays here and gets a promotion on his CV.

Absolutely. He’s surprised me and exceeded my expectations already. If he manages a promotion out of this division then I think he can definitely be spoken about in those terms.

I suspect around this time next year if we do get promoted will be the time for him to be poached. Especially if we begin to look higher mid table in league one.

A league two trophy win on a young managers CV can attract those bigger club owners quite effectively and it looks like there are some big clubs in the championship awaiting relegation.

Northampton wouldn’t be a great move at all for Sadler when he has the opportunity to get promotion on his CV with us plus we have a better squad and infrastructure than Northampton! Millwall are a Championship club however that’s the worry for me

Incredibly satisfying to be proven right on this somewhat thorny issue.

Just goes to show that you can run a property business, be a football manager, and still find time to go to the cricket/Maroon 5 concerts/Palma Nova - what a guy

I don’t think he will go as he seems a loyal person and would want to finish what he has started. He also seems to have a good relationship with Trivela.

You were always Sadler in though KC, your wisdom shining like a beacon.

But isn’t the beacon a notoriously difficult place to go?

It’s a very difficult place to walk out of in a straight line after a few pints of Sarah Hughes’ dark ruby mild.

No mate, straight up the Sutton Road, turn right at the traffic lights and head towards Pheasey.
Its on your left, can’t miss it…

Exactly what went through my mind when I saw this link from O`Rourke.

Maybe after dark

Whilst happy to be wrong on this one.

Let’s just get the job done this season before hailing him as this or that.

I felt we should have achieved something last season. When it clicked in that middle third of the season it showed the capability was there. Bad management, bad use of The keepers and Daniels were concerning. Bad signings like Gordon.

Looks like lessons were learned. But it’s not wrong for fans to want good management and results.

Unfortunately on this occasion but Pete O Rourke doesn’t get much wrong

Not sure a Championship club would fancy him just now.

He’s had a season and a half in the fourth division and it’s probably a tale of three halves. Half a season (this one and a wee spell last year) of brilliance. Half a season of rubbish and half a season somewhere in between.

Not sure that’s a CV that gets you a two level promotion.

Get us up automatically and that CV improves many fold.

But until then, it’s all about completing this season’s work.

Hmm You looking for an honour in the new year not sure that’s 100% correct
