Wayne Dyer played once for us in 1998ā¦ went on to make 6 apps for Monserrat according to wiki.
Hopefully he plays more than once for us if we need him to

Heās still in this situation as heās signed a 6 month deal? Albeit will be getting some playing time but even so
True, but maybe heās backing himself that he will do well enough here to at least have a contract offer in the summer (either from us or someone else) where if he stayed at Crewe he would just be released and maybe have to prove himself somewhere next pre-season?

He also has a chance to earn a longer contract with us during that initial 6 months. If he hits the ground running, who says he wonāt be on a 2 year deal by April before the summer? Thatās a chance heās not gonna get if he stays at Crewe.

Thatās true. But if that happened Iād rather he did well for us and left, than be shite for us and then get released.

Think thatās what Iād like to see 3 at the back with attacking wing-backs. But that makes Shade, Keirnan, and to a lesser extent Wilkinson and Phillips redundant.
Iād look to send Shade and Phillips back and look to bring in a young RWB and LWB in on loan.

Not necessarily, thereās no reason why we couldnāt play 3-4-3 with Wilkinson, Miller and Kiernan up top and Kinsella and Earing in midfield.

Yep, and that speaks volumes of the lack of flexibility. Weāve seemingly recruited to play in a very particular formation, one that doesnāt really allow for anything other than a back four and one up top.

Exactly. Fullerton /Taylor have recruited players that fit into their preferred set up.

And now itās not working the only way to change it is with a significant overhaul in the next six days or to wait until the summer.

Three decent additions and a tweak to the tactics could make a massive difference. Stop hitting balls over the top for Miller to aimlessly chase would be a start. Keep Earing up the pitch and work on plugging the holes defensively on the flanks would be progress for me.
Not going to world beaters but still possible to finish top half.
