New Stadium?

We can buy the Old Trafford roof when they replace it with a nice, shiny new one.

Then that will be back to the future; just like the old leaky roof on the Popular side at FP :grinning:

I quoted on the floodlights years ago! It cost the club more in replacing the guts of the original floodlights! Another big tick for Trivela!

They could redesign and replace it then the place would have a more modern look.

Or get rid of the roof but keep the stanchions? That’s more the Walsall way …

They did remove a couple in the main stand with added roof support, so not unrealistic to suggest at least some others could be removed around the rest of the ground.

We normally manage to get to January before the roof falls in.

I’ve thought from day one those godforsaken stanchions are holding our gates back. False economy not getting rid. A constant reminder of the clubs historic contempt towards its fan base.

Have they shut another speedway track somewhere? :joy: or was it a greyhound stadium? :joy:

Another chance to break out the Bescot-without-stanchions mock-up I did a few years ago. Come on Trivela, make it happen.

Looks sexy without the stanchions

We don’t want much do we as a 2nd division football club!! New owners have had to shell out millions all because of one man!
I can’t see the stadium being altered that much, no need or justification at the moment…but yes, it looks million times better…

To be fair, that was not a great time for the club’s finances. I don’t think there was much choice. Scunthorpe had an essentially identical ground, as I recall. I wonder what happened to them?

Completely transforms the stadium. Wonder what the cost would be? Presume it would be considerably more difficult and expensive to completely remove the pillars than it was to remove the middle 2 or 3 from the main stand.

They shouldn’t get rid of them all. They should leave one. As a monument to Bonser. The statue he deserves.

And we could get fans to deface it in his memory

Or convert the bottom into a urinal.

How much better does that look, our ground ain’t too bad but the outside warehouse look and stanchions make it look incredibly dated.

To top it off add safe standing across the whole lower tier please, or at least half way up

Also actually ask fans to bring their flags let them leave them hung at the ground, it just looks better. I know Shrewsbury do this. I’d happily get a flag done drape it from the upper and leave it there.

Sneyd school is being knocked down. I Think if we where ever to move homes that would be a perfect location

Perfectly matched with the sexy football we play on the pitch.
