Fans have been hoodwinked. I have the back and forth on here with some very loyal fans who stick by the club and don’t question it. These guys back the club blindly. I feel for them, mugged off on a bigger scale than those who can see it. We half expected it. But they’re fellow fans. Mugged off by Trivela during the January window. Mugged us all off employing Sadler.
In a nutshell. We got two strikers off the bench from Barrow and MK and thought we’d be okay.

I am always amazed how much bile there is when we do not win, as if the players and coaches fail to win on purpose. Had we played like today over the last 3 months, we would be champions by now.
We had three or four decent chances and should have won. The disallowed goal was not, in my view, a deliberate punch; the ball skidded of his head onto his hand. Those who said he bottled out are not being honest.
Adomah was not played as a striker as such. He was in the front two of a four man box, with Stirk and Chang behind him and Jellis. He played OK, particularly in the first half but his header was lamentable.
It’s not over yet and it looks like both Stanley and Crewe will have nothing to play for now. But, as others have said, I am not sure I can face the play offs.

So Sadler tweeked the formation to play Levi at #9 with Albert and Jellis just behind.
I don’t disagree with trying something different, but am I alone in thinking that of all the forwards we have, Levi is the least equipped to play this role. He isn’t a target man. He’s a handful when in the box, but he can’t hold off defenders and link play.
DJ can’t do it either but would have been better than Levi on his own.
Not a bad idea from Sadler but clueless in making it work.
As it stands live now Crewe are out of playoffs. Does this Help ??? 0 - 1 down 10 mins to go.

But we haven’t. We’ve been poor for a large part of the second half of the season.
You are right. It is probably true that we weren’t as good as our results showed when we were way out top, and we aren’t as bad as our recent run shows. It averages out and we are where we are but the way it panned out makes the outcome feel painful, even though most would have been happy at the start of the season to be where we are.

Wrong!! It’s Drayton Manor! What a joke from Mat Sadler, not utilising a key asset.
Not sure Im buying the theory that we had played like we had today we would have been promoted, anyway.
Newport are 4th from bottom, they have conceded 70 goals.
We might have looked better because the team we were were playing are useless.

In fairness, most would be happy (maybe the wrong term, maybe accepting that you don’t just storm the league and win it in January) had other teams done well to catch us and our form hadn’t nose dived to relegation form.
Fair comment. And Ken had a point about Newport who were not good. I still think we were flattered by all those wins in a row and not as bad as this recent run of results has been.
Watching today though, I did think young Nathan would have popped a couple away. Had he not done quite so well so early, we might still have him. In that sense, our outstanding run of results worked against us.

Just got home,
The emotions in the last 90 seconds were crazy. I was inline with the post and saw it was handball but looking initially at lino and referee was convinced it had been given. It may have been on the way over the line without the hand.
We had more then enough chances to win today.
Following Walsall away is energy zapping
