I think what we have heard in the press are these hints at changing the way we play to something more attractive.
I honestly don’t see how Kinsella fits into that narrative.
What I do think he will be useful for, is as a way to shore up and kill off a game as a sub, or if the situation dictates, as a third man in the middle if we are matching a side up, or want to be a bit more resolute in say a 451 away from home against tough opposition. Then yeah, absolutely.
Our problem the last few season, regardless of manager or personnel is breaking teams down and commanding play at home. We have been woeful on the whole. I hope we see a bit more expansive play, and taking the game to teams next season. Again, I don’t see how Kinsella fits in that narrative - but I do see how he fits into narratives that I defined in the paragraph above.
Will be very interesting to see what happens - and it’s a good problem to have!
