Can’t moan about chesterfield though they have season tickets in the away end now and it’s always fairly full, basically something we can only dream of

The law of averages - or, more accurately, the phenomenon of regression to the mean - does suggest we can’t go on winning every game. However, a few years ago Arsenal did go a season without losing a league game: I’d find that very acceptable for the rest of this season
In reality, anything out of this game would be a great result.

I reckon there will be 5 goals in the game…just don’t want to commit to which team will be scoring them.

Maybe Lowe can do a Brandy and net a hat-trick at Meadow Lane…

This is the “mean” machine though, capable of setting a new mean.

Thought this was a reference to the years under Bonser.

I’m actually worried about this one, the team look knackered.

Really tough call , I’ll go 1-1 which would be a fantastic result.

They had a certain Jack Grealish playing for them that day.

I recall when we played Notts earlier this month we had the same concerns about players looking jaded and tired. We had just come off the back of disappointing results against Bromley and Charlton. However, we still found a way to win. We haven’t looked back since.

I think it’ll be tougher this time around on their patch, but would back these players all day long to come back with something. 1-1 for me.

I said on the Newport match thread that I’d happily take a 0-0 in this one, just got a crap feeling about it though.

2-1 Notts. Jamma with our goal.

It wasnt exactly “fairly full” behind goal when we went

No longer 1st vs 2nd as Wimbledon have now gone above NC on goal difference. Very congested down there amongst the chasing pack with 5 teams on 37 points, and 2 on 36.

Matty Stevens scored his 16th goal of the season with his right arm according to reports.

It’s full enough mate and if they sell season tickets in there then they’re well within their rights to give us a smaller allocation elsewhere

Chesterfield are averaging almost 8,000 they don’t need to be dishing out 2,000+ away allocations, a real nice issue to have

Be lovely one day for us to chuck away fans on the side and have two home ends, maybe down the line

It’s going to be one hell of a dogfight between about 10 teams between now and the end of the Season. Let’s hope we stay out of it…:joy:

The weather forecast no longer predicts strong winds but it does say there will be a lot of heavy rain for the 24 hours before kick-off.

When we beat them 5-1 in 2014 it rained heavily and it felt like our goals revolved around the ball getting stuck in the pitch for Febian Brandy to sprint onto and score.

Could easily have scored 10 that day if I remember correctly.

If Bradford and Franchise won their games in hand they’d also be on 37.

Of course the table will likely look a lot different by the time they’re resolved.

As would Salford and Crewe if they draw theirs. 5 clubs separated by goal difference is mad, but 9???!!
