Bloody bed fan if you don’t mind.

My 6yr old daughters first away game, and she got it. Second half performance, the crowd reaction; it finally fell into place for her.

Singing and shouting like a good-un. She’s a saddler now.

I have only just managed to calm her down enough to go to bed.

From that angle, you can appreciate even more what a great ball it was by Weir!!

Crowley was effective, despite his need to showboat, but Sadler had his number by bring on McEntee and putting Jellis tight on Crowley. And that stopped his game completely.

County are the best side we have played this season, with the possible exception of Bromley; they certainly have the best attacking players but they are less good at the back, which is why they ship a lot of goals.

Once again, despite chasing their heels for most of the first half, our fitness levels enabled us to work like dogs in the second half. McEntee was awesome. I know the general consensus is that he cannot play midfield but he can tackle, he can press, he can pass and, above all, he threatens a goal. Having said that, I’d have him as one of the three at the back. With Allen (or Weir) on one side and him on the other, two of our back three would be serious attacking threats.

And also how offside Jamma was

Nice to see praise for Evan Weir.

I think he was getting a bit of slagging off after the early defeat at Franchise but I watched the cup game at Blues and I thought he looked decent against some higher level players.

Let’s remember Taylor Allen didn’t look up to much in his first season here so amazing if Weir could develop as then you have some fantastic young players in the backline who at worst will make this club serious money in the next two years.

Guilty as charged. I was scathing of his performance at MK earlier this season. Today he was my MoM. Superb performance.

I can’t really add anything to what’s already been said. Sitting and watching that second half, you just have no doubts that we are going to go on and win that game - even with our most successful teams over the years, I cant recall that being such a sure certainty

To be able to turn it round from what was an average first half performance into that total domination in the second half, is some feat.

For me, that game was just the icing on the cake today and I can totally understand why Sadler was so proud. So much to admire

If anyone was still in any doubt, I think that result shows that this team is the real deal.

BTW Not only for Lowe’s winner, it was a Weir “assist” for Jamma’s goal too (OK, it was a mis-hit shot :joy:). But then neither was as good as his cross for our disallowed goal - for me that was the best ball of the game. Lino appeared to flag it as offside or else it could have been a hattrick of assists for him. Anyone got footage to check the actual reason it was ruled out?

Agree he could be another great find my only reservation about him at the moment is he needs to be more aware as a defender HW got exposed for pace at the back today for there goal pace is not his strength so Wier and Dave need to be a bit tighter as a unit to cover this .but MOM by a mile today .

The linesman gave offside, but it was Matt who was in an offside position, not McEntee, so VAR would have been interesting

Their goal was also possibly offside, and they were claiming that Lowe was offside for his goal. I would not want VAR in our division, but it would be good to see better angles for the replays.

Me neither don’t want players having to cut there finger nails .

Not the best angle tbh, great header from McEntee though
