Be nice to get the end of tonight’s games before the point scoring begins .
We also need Bradford to score against Barrow - Barrow’s equaliser put them out of our reach.
Let’s face it, the fat lady has sung. We’ve dropped too many points, especially at home.
For me, it all started to unravel with the Barrow game when Faal missed that sitter, I thought that will cost us dearly, sadly, it came true. It wasn’t just the Barrow game, Colchester and FGR too where points were for the taking and we failed to take them. That has to change next season, gaining points from teams below us in the table, beating those clubs that has to change if we have any chance of promotion.
The Bradford loss was the dagger in our hearts, it just gutted our fans and everyone associated with the club.
If only…sums up the story of our season. So many chances created, so many missed opportunities.
I think Trivela will have to spend more than they planned to this off season. If BB has attended our last few games, he’s seen what we need to make a push next season.
Now we have wiser heads in the boardroom with the additions of Ben Sadler and O’Kelly, I’m hoping we can make shrewder acquisitions in positions of need (goal scoring CF’s, RWB, commanding midfielder and CH), that will do to start with.
Overall, it’s been a good season, one of hope, progress and the wonderful support our fans gave to the team. It was fantastic to see. I hope more fans come back next season, if we’re doing well, would love to see 7000+ on occasions in the stadium.
We came close but no cigar I’m afraid. The goal next season has to be promotion, we have to get out of this horrible league.
