We both saw it, both labelled as trolls
Take your rose tinted glasses off and it was obvious we were gonna struggle and matts a waste of space
If you not positive your not a fan , pathetic
Does anyone seriously think we’ll win these winnable games? I can’t see it, we’ve bottled every game of that nature.
Bradford winning.
After 12 seconds
The League Two table is not pleasant reading.
We’re done . Hate football…
I agree. Sadler is done here. Funky and co can say what they want but there is no recovery from that. The second half was abysmal and we created nothing. Forward options are chronic and the team look shot. Jellis was absolutely awful.
Port Vale were miles better for 70 minutes and they deserved it. Tolaj - what a player.
Well - I don’t know what MS said to them at HT but it killed any positivity and fluidity
Vale battered us there and in the second half it could have been embarrassing…
Too many players off it again but seriously, wtf is wrong with Jellis and Gordon - did they know we were playing red today??
The worst fall from grace in my 50+ years as a Saddler - so frustrated and on this form, we’ll be lucky to get anywhere in the PO
The owners and Nofo were here today - not really a great advert for WFC today folks….
Ref was wank but we’d have lost that game with any ref in the middle…
Another season derailed by recall of a loanee in January. Young Nathan papered over a lot of cracks.
Whilst the group might be a nice bunch, we lacked the nous and ability to even be an bang average Legaue 2 team and see this out. That’s on Trivela for a poor January window and Sadler for stubborn and often confusing line-ups, tactics and in game management.
This really is a season to remember - for possibly the wrong reasons.
I feel bad for wanting Sadler to be sacked - we shouldn’t feel this way sitting in 2nd - but we’ve squandered such a commanding lead, something needs to be done to rescue the season.
Sadler seems too dour and cautious to find another win. The two preceding results set todays game up for a proper go at them, and we had Vale rattled in the first 20mins, they looked shaken, but then we sat so deep, we let them pepper our box with crosses and had no out ball.
That’s on Sadler - he needed to spot the issues and resolve them before we effectively gave away the points.
I’m worried now that the only way we get promoted is with a fresh set of ideas and impetus from a coach who can deliver these wins. Sadler just gets us in to a rut then tries to draw his way out of trouble.
Reminds me of a former England manager.
Not too many games more winnable than Carlisle and Cheltenham going into injury time whilst 2-0 up.
We need to win three out of five.
We shan’t.
You look at a player like Jellis. He’d have got into a third tier side first half of the season. He’d now struggle to get back into Tamworth’s side.
To have ran this young squad so ragged because you “don’t believe in fatigue” is a dereliction of duty both to the football club and those young boys.
Ryan Stirk looks a right chump just now. Barrett was blowing out of his Harris from January. I don’t think these lads have become bad players. They’ve just been really badly managed. To effectively lose your best centre back at such a crucial time is also really careless by Sadler and the club.
We lost it in the first half when we were crap. No other word for it.
All Vale had to do was either from a long throw or long ball just get the ball into the box and our defenders will never win the first header and pick anyone up and they get a chance.
First goal Liam Gordon bottled out of defending the overhead kick. Second goal we again never learn how to defend a long throw and had 9 players like a bunch of grapes around the middle and near post but no one marking at the back where the guy runs in and scores. All season we don’t block crosses, shots, pick people up on the edge of the box or at far posts and we never learn. It has to be a coaching issue. Third goal Liam Gordon what were you doing. He simply cannot defend. He has no footballing brain. Okagbue also was terrible.
To all those who kept saying over the last dozen games “what’s the problem we are still top” well guess what, we aint top anymore. And to those who will say “don’t worry we are still in the automatic positions” well we aint gonna be there much longer. And to those who will say "don’t worry we are still in the playoffs, well we aint gonna win them are we? I wonder what will you say when the season is over and we are still in this crappy division and the gravity of what has happened finally dawns on you “don’t worry, next season with Levi and Josh Gordon up front we might get a top 10 finish!”
This is on Sadler and the coaching team who have simply failed to take advantage of a situation they stumbled upon and have been unable to prevent the same mistakes happening week in week out. We also do not have a person you can point at and say “he is the guy who is supposed to score the goals”. This is not good enough.
They say an alcoholic has to admit they have a drink problem before they can sort themselves out. Well perhaps we should admit that some of our players/staff are not as good as we think they are.
I feel worse now than at any time supporting Walsall over the last 57 years.
Dream what might be possible? - how about being realistic of what will happen.
UP THE SADDLERS
I’m not sure who is more to blame, the board for falling for the same trap 3 years running with our striker going back and destroying our season or Sadler for still not discovering what team he fancies from January to April. The forward line situation has been farcical, for a so called great man manager he seems to outcast players quite easily who don’t fit into his favourites. I think I’m leaning towards Sadler being to blame. If we don’t win at Barrow I’d be tempted to get someone else in for the end.
Cheltenham
Gillingham x2
Carlisle.
8 points chucked away. That to me is the key, not today. Today shouldn’t have mattered.
All on Sadler picking players that were shattered when other options were available.
If Lipsuic and Chang are so worse than recent Jellis and Stirk then why did we sign them? Might as well chuck them both in next week for my money. He’ll probably pick Josh the saviour Gordon though.
The lot of them are complete and utter failures. From the top to the bottom. We’ve fudged it up big time.
Absolutely no fight. No tactics. No passion. They’re all shit.
If any of the players read this … YOU ARE SHIT. Nathan Lowe carried you failures.
Not even on the bench for them today.
Today has tipped me over the edge I think: not just the defeat, but the manner of it. We were so poor at the back, conceded 3 goals and you could see the optimism and energy drain from the midfield and forwards as they realised they’d got yet another uphill battle.
Teams can only keep getting back up after being knocked down so many times before they’re knocked out for good.
Realistically now sacking Sadler might give us a bounce, not sure it will, but it’s worth a go. Do we really want to enter next season with Sadler on the back of this run, promoted or not?
I don’t think we will sack him, the vibes from the club is always about togetherness but that’s just flannel and togetherness won’t get us promoted
What was the Flynn run that got him potted?
Worse than 2 wins in 16?
Not sure it was.
Ironically like most of our January signings. Beggars belief.
