Total allocation up to 3,050.

Think that’ll be our lot if we sell those.

I doubt we will but you never know.

How many did we take last game of 15/16? Was it 4k?

Pity that game didn’t seal the promotion it deserved, dont think I’ve ever seen so many screamers in one match.

I think it was 3,359. Biggest away league following since 3,419 at Swindon in 2007?

It don’t make no never mind.

Officially maybe, but there were a lot more than that (and hence the official figure) at the Notts County promotion game a few weeks earlier. I think the whole official attendance that day was about 6 or 7k which was the most blatent under-declaration of an attendance since home v Newport in 1980.

Nah, most blatant under reporting of an attendance was Mansfield some years ago when we had about 50 empty seats in a stand that holds 1,000 and they announced the away attendance as 300 and something and their fans started singibg " and the rest, and the rest".

Cash turnstiles were massive money makers for dodgy clubs back in the day. Not saying we were squeaky clean either.

In his book, Buckley describes Wheldon having at least one turnstile for the “sock” and how the sock money might have been used.

As Geordie says, that Newport game. Place was wedged. Certainly felt fuller than say either of the play off games vs Bristol City where attendances were allegedly 4,000 higher than that Newport game.

Shrewsbury in the milk cup run was another where uncle Ken may have had a few pair of socks around the place.

Attendances were often chronically under reported under Jeff.
