Sounds like mistakes have undone us tonight…
Unforgivable in the position we are in!
They’ve been in decent form for a while. One defeat in 11 games before they lost to Sunderland. Since then they’ve had two wins in a row, and this could be the third. They were suffering from a poor start to the season.
Scunthorpe Utd 3 Southend Utd 1
The come-back@@@@@ Walsall 1 Pompey 3 (too little, too late) and another Walsall yellow card - probably celebration of the goal…
Scunny 3-1…
Guthrie. 1-3. Header from a corner.
1-3 ,Guthrie
Wycombe Wanderers 1 Accrington Stanley 2
Helps the GD at least
Ferrier now booked Trying to retrieve the ball after the goal
Scunthorpe Utd now 4-1 at home to Southend
They’ve gone from hero’s to zero’s in 3 days, inconsistency is the problem,Keates needs to address it,it’s like quicksand at the bottom of league one,we don’t want to be in the fight to the death in the last few games.
Villa lad looks lively
Wycombe Wanderers 1 Accrington Stanley 3
AFC Wimbledon 1 Peterborough Utd 0
Walsall substitution, 85 min …Oteh in place of Zeli Ismail
Attendance reported as 4,097
Plymouth penalty…
Plymouth 2-1.
Keeps Sloppies 2 points behind at least.
A draw would have suited us I reckon
2-3 (92 min) … Guthrie again!!
Frustrating. Bags of effort but you can’t give goals away like that.
Our ultimate relegation is not down to games like tonight. We showed up tonight. It is the surrenders against Rochdale, Bristol Rovers, Scunthorpe and Wimbledon on top of the inability to hold on to a couple of two goal leads that sealed our fate unfortunately.
Very frustrating evening
Bags of effort and some decent play but undone by a combination of schoolboy errors and one moment of idiocy
Portsmouth are a decent side though.
I maintain that the key periods for our demise this season were the debacle over Russell Martins arrival (and then departure) and approaching and during the January transfer window which seemed to somehow completely derail us… Both episodes have to be attributed to Deanos approach and inexperience
Probably posted this in the wrong thread…
Deserved a draw from that. Thought we played well but we lack that cutting edge (it was crying out for Cook) and continue to make individual errors at the back.
Frustrating, especially considering Pompey literally did ■■■■ all but managed to score 3.
