It’s called satire.

Ain’t that a Chinese dish?

So because he talks about his faith then its ok to ridicule him about it.

When someone puts something in the public domain that perhaps suggests a tenuous grip on the reality of a situation (and by that I’m referring more to the fact he feels he’s done something that would deserve praise for, or from, a deity, denoting the fact he doesn’t appreciate he’s an average footballer in a shit team), then I’m afraid it will invite ridicule.

What level of the game do players need to be playing before you judge that it is acceptable then ?
Personally if I’d played ten minutes in a league two team I’d believe in miracles as well as God

Said this before. It’s very odd that grown adults are seeing him post about God and using that as something to give him stick about. Not his biggest fan at all, in fact I probably dislike the bloke as much as any Walsall fan but having a go over his faith and then the excuse being that he talks about it is absolutely pathetic.
People wouldn’t dare take the piss like this with other religions but whatever.

Not sure what the controversy is to be fair, it’s a highlight reel

Can I make it perfectly clear that any abuse I may give him has nothing to do with his beliefs.

It’s because he’s dead shit at kicking a football.

In his defence, i really dont think he cares about you, or me, or anyone.

He’s just a footballer, doing footballer crap.

He’s overusing it. If he wants to thank some higher power, that he plays in League Two and has some success, he can do it, but at the same time why not ask, why I’m not playing better, higher? If something good happens, he praises the almighty lord. But when something bad happens, he’s not asking why the same entity made it. For me it’s a very childish look at religion. Childish, because it lacks a thought process why something happened.

How ridiculous. The man has a belief, let the guy believe in it. It has nothing to do with you or anyone else how or why he uses his belief.
In a world where we’re expected to be so tolerant of so much, grown people are getting all offended by a guy praising something he believes in and then attacking him for it, crazy.

I agree with you and if he wishes to thank his Lord for his talents he should be free to do so. Most Christians I know would not it but saying thank you is clearly important to him. Many worse things are said and nobody “blinks” or says anything.

I guarantee that if I posted something about being a stauch Tory, and claiming Boris is a top Prime Minister this board would explode, and I would accept that sharing my beliefs (which they aren’t, it’s just an example) might mean I get some stick.
