Retained & Released List - 2022

And rightly so

I see people calling him out for being a big saft tit, rather than being offended.

Agree. I don’t see anyone offended - I couldn’t give a flying monkeys what invisible penguin dude he believes in… it’s more the fact the ego of a list of highlights in an absolutely abject Season that’s a bit ridiculous. Does he think he had a good season or something ?

Bloke is an egotist.

Yep, all I see is ā€œlook how great I am, and this is all because I’m favoured by Godā€

Not just an egotist, but delusional, and arrogant.

Sure there’s something in their code of beliefs about pride

I’m sure his comments about how great his version of the Abrahamic belief system works will go down very well with (for example) any Muslim or Sikh supporters or potential players. No problem with him believing it, but a social media account driven by his status/ability as a footballer isn’t the way to promote it, or channel misplaced thanks, with no thought as to consequence, including posts about it on a fan social media site.

I scored a 40 yarder last week, but I appreciate I’m generally crap and haven’t gone around crowing about how special I am because I managed to fluke summat.

They wouldn’t mate because they’d be branded racist more than likely whats the difference?

He’s certainly not faithless

Are some of you aware that this is a highlights reel, quite probably prepared by his agent in order to tout him to other clubs. What do you expect? A couple of misplaced passes and him saying ā€œwasn’t it a crap season?ā€

As an Omnipotent, Omniscient being he/she/they/it certainly can’t get no sleep.

Preferably nothing - and certainly not a video that mainly consists of him dancing :joy:

He’s just a symptom of how unprofessional this club is, and the standards that have slipped.

personally i think Osadebe has got talent. He has had a full season with us, (his first?) and therefore may improve on this next season, building on the experience he has had. Well that is my hypothesis. This is based on watching the Saddlers since 1965 and seeing for myself that some players do improve with experience as well as seeing that some don’t. As for the influence of God etc, if there is a God watching out for Osadebe then surely he would be playing for a Premier league team not scratching around with us in league 2? Or perhaps his God isn’t the true God and he has angered the true God and has therefore remained a run of the mill league 2 footballer. Or it might be that God works in mysterious ways; 352 then 442 then 4231 and then 3421 all in the same match; so mysteriously that we are all mystified…Or was that God or Daryl Clarke… oh I’ve lost the plot now…aaaah

Going by the large number of players who cross themselves or similar, they can’t all play in the premier league.

All I see is people getting all up tight about him mentioning god  Hence the reason everyone else keeps mentioning it.

What if the Pagans were right all along and he just needs to start worshipping a better god? One with swords and lightning and stuff.

What about that new penguin one I’m hearing lots about these days?

Apparently he likes fish everyday, not just on a Friday.
