Surely if you have a really good team there’s a chance you may be in the playoffs anyway, personally I would love to get back to the Championship I’ve always believed you should strive to play at the highest level you can .

We’ve squandered the best England side in years on a man who’s never truly been tactically tested.
Sure we beat Germany last time round, but they were a side well in decline, with a lingering old guard and without the fresh faces to fully cement themselves in the side.
Every other tournament match so far he’s been allowed to coast through against lesser opposition, packing the team out with far too many defensive pieces. Especially when our attack could take on anyone in world football!

Hard to knock Southgate as he’s achieved more than other more popular managers.
I do always get the feeling though that we get where we get despite him rather than because of him.

Same, i actually think he has been great to develop England into a side that actually passes the football and play with less fear but he aint getting a decent job in Prem. Its a totally different job anyway.

I get the feeling they might bid for him again if they get promoted on Sunday so that might be one to watch.
Last time in the prem they signed a couple of forwards for 10m + and Luton would surely accept that.
Not much chance of Rico ever getting a cap when Gareth would rather pick a squad without a left-back in it.

Having watched the Brentford vs United game yesterday, you can’t fathom why anyone would have Luke Shaw ahead of Rico.
The only reason Rico doesn’t get a call up is that he plays for Brentford.
