I think he’ll just be a squad player, Draper and DJ will be starters with hopefully another forward coming in too.
Yes. I got there for second half. Why?
Then you must have seen how ineffective Hutchinson was against a good player like Adam Clayton .
I don’t mind Hutchinson but as I’ve said before he really needs to be more influential in games.
Just Google football player pathway that will show you a pyramid starting at the very bottom to first team football. Your ridiculously long posts are full of holes, gaps, etc. If you are going to try and explain it, at least explain it properly. I could recommend you a couple of books to read if you like?
I think 1. You’re completely underestimating the technical skill level required to execute that 2. Don’t understand the ‘under no pressure’. There’s never a moment a pro footballer is under no pressure and 3. Most have spent an entire evening saying how poor we were yet think an individual, in an area where good players around you is essential should be able to rise above that and drag an average team playing poorly, to an accepted level…
Game of two halves.
1st half we were a poor 5-3-2. We sat in and let them have the ball. No real outlet or creativity to speak of. Knowles demonstrating he can’t do the defensive side of a being a wingback.
2nd half we were a better 3-5-2 playing a much higher line. Knowles and Gordon starting on the half way line looking to get forward rather than sitting in. Some lovely diagonals into the channels by Daniels. Stirk giving us some impetus from the midfield. Much better.
Draper the highlight of the evening. Big, Strong, great movement, gambles on the ball coming in… one thing of note he does have the advantage of being much closer to match fitness having recently being playing in Ireland. Not taking anything away from the lad. Could be the surprise package for us this season.
You don’t listen do you.
I’ve worked in a premier league academy. I’m perfectly ok understanding the pathway, cheers
If it’s full of holes, constructively demonstrate just where and why and I’m happy to discuss
No, thank God. It’s up to someone who knows a lot more about football than you.
There are too many inaccuracies. It would take me to long. And for what purpose?. You still may not understand it anyway
We’ve gone down this road before , I know what I can see in front of my eyes.hes a decent player but obviously he has deficiencies.
Hence why he’s at Walsall.
Would anyone else ship Matt out during this transfer season and try replace with a younger hungrier model or everyone else want to give him a chance based on what we have seen of him since January?
Well that doesn’t narrow it down.
We need to do something urgently in the striking department. Matt and Djt as backups. Oh dear…
As a regular watcher of the LOI I would add there are some real gems at that level that would be worth clubs at our level taking a look at. Hopefully if Drogheda do become part of some multi-club ownership model involving Trivela that will put us in a stronger position assuming Jordan will be involved in his role as “global football” guru. As other posters pointed out at the time of his signing, Farmer Draper also joins up with us match-fit, in form, and having demonstrated a skill-set that wouldn’t be required, and hence couldn’t even have been measured in academy football due to the levels of that league and its Feb-Nov seasonality.
And I said when we signed Stevens and Matt that it would be a waste of time and nothing has changed my mind so far.
Badly need to sign some proper wing backs.
Shame that Draper can’t play against Morecambe or Stockport
Schoolboy to scholar to academy to u23?
You realise that academy isn’t part of it, academy is all of it? It’s classed as academy from u9 to u21 (u23 is no longer used )
It’s actually now :-
Foundation Phase u9-11
Youth Development Phase u12-u16
Professional Development Phase u17-u21
I won’t go into any more detail, it’ll blow your tiny little brain to pieces.
Why?
Suspended I think
