Ronan Arjun Maher (RAM) - 2025

Probably a load of bull but maybe a move to Hereford is on the cards.

I know that Draper got him into tractors but RAM wasn’t convinced. Maher is very much a player that blows hot and cold.

I think he’s an ex-Tractor fan.

You sir may claim the prize for the biggest groan at a joke posted on here in the last 20 years. :joy::confounded:

Not like this poster to make absolutely ridiculous statements where Walsall FC is concerned, is it? :joy::joy:

Honestly :man_facepalming:t2:

Time will tell.

I remember seeing Scot Dann in our reserves (when Merson nearly sold him to Hednesford) and I told a Liverpool fan that he would play in the premier league within 5 years.

I also remember seeing a young Jack Grealish playing on loan for Notts County and being incredibly impressed.

Maher’s talent stands out a mile against players his own age but I do acknowledge that he’s quite lightweight right now for league two’s rough and tumble. He could do with a loan at Drogheda to toughen him up a bit.

Agreed, technically good, lacking the physical attributes at the moment, but that will come and is an age thing, a loan will do him good, but needs to be the right loan.

I quite like the idea of link ups with scouting / players / clubs in Lg of Ireland. Seems to have helped Draper develop

Look at him. Socks rolled to the ankles. Hair greased back. Alice band.

Like a young Grealish. If only :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

You’re just jealous @Gensanx123

I had long gelled back hair at his age but now I’m as bald as a coot! Ironically, I am the same age as David Beckham and was once mistaken for him! Now, I look like his dad (I can’t afford the work that he and his Mrs have had on their faces!) :joy:

He’s 18, if you’re a true Walsall fan, you’d support our young talent!

i would much rather have him on the bench instead of Matt or DJT to give us a different option

I agree. He should be part of our matchday squad.

He’s better than those 2. Agreed

He’s 18, he needs playing to taste what real footy is about. He won’t get that experience sitting on the bench and entering for some minutes to do something. That’s the easiest way to stop his development.

Gone to ROFC until Jan then
Will do him good I believe imho
Been local can still train and be involved with first team if appropriate too

Good move. He needs 90 minute games not 5,10,15 minutes here and there.

It didn’t do Phil foden any harm. You telling me he wouldn’t learn more from training with the superstar hutch every week like foden did kdb?

Never thought he’s looked anywhere near good enough on the few times I’ve seen him play so this is a good move for him

As it is a Youth Loan does that mean he can play in the EFL Trophy games?
