Hold on surely that is on the formation not Ronan? I mean if you throw an attacking midfielder on and don’t ask Dobson to sit more (who was also on the edge of their box for the third) then surely that is tactical naivity, mainly because we were chasing the game? Why is that so bad it justifies writing off Ronan but no criticism of Dobson? In fact Ronan chased back. Dobson was in no position to. Should we drop him?

All the assists? He got a couple against a League 2 side. I’ve seen about 120 minutes of Ronan and the jury is still out on what looks to be a very tidy footballer. I’ve seen years of Kouyar and am yet to be impressed.

In a 4-4-2 you need one of Ronan/Dobson and Osbourne/Chambers. Ronan isn’t going to push out Dobson so why sign him, give our own youngsters a chance to prove themselves? Especially when they’re in a make or break season…

Which is probably why he started against Barnsley when we did change shape … and got a good result,

Someone said Dobson is a defensive midfielder not attacking, I don’t see it. Must be getting mistaken for the bald Dobson we had, can’t remember first name.

Do you michael Dobson? Or it could be matt Richards but then he was the bald Messi!!!
