I’d rather have the likes of Daniel Kanu and Nathan Lowe here for six months in a Walsall shirt with them contributing massively than see them playing for another team at this level thinking “Why can’t we get players on loan like that”

Yes and I agree, it’s just we struggle when they’ve been recalled and we don’t replace them with equal, or better quality players, hence the reason we’ve dropped away from our strong positions in the past.
Think it is far better for us to sign our own quality players, and yes it costs money, but if Trivela are serious about promotion I think we should be doing that.

This January will give us a true insight into Trevela’s real intent regarding their ambitions for us on the pitch. They have been a breath of fresh air in all other aspects of the club. We need promotion this season. UTS.

I think that they have done pretty well on the pitch so far. Before they took over, many thought that we were heading for division 5 and since being relegated hadn’t threatened even the playoffs.
For the last two seasons we have hardly been outside the top 3, in fact have been top for the majority of the time.
Even though last season ended in bitter disappointment, it is hard to argue that we aren’t in better nick since they took the reins.

Yeah I agree Belph but we desperately need the end product of promotion. Fed up of this crap division. We deserve better and we are better than we have been for many seasons. But we need that end product now. Promotion is a must this season. Please Trivela deliver it or at least supply the tools for completion. UTS.

Dare I suggest that if more home fans turn up to watch us then Trivela will feel more confident signing players up to enable us to compete in league 1?

I wouldn’t if it turns out like last season. It is the worst I have ever felt as a Walsall fan and I never want to feel like that again. Let’s show some real ambition and sign our own players instead of being at the mercy of failing teams above.

I felt worse with every relegation I’ve witnessed than I did last season. Gutted at Crewe and Wembley, but hell of a lot to like too.

A number of loans have turned into permanent signings, or at least attempts to sign. Try before you buy.

Doesn’t happen much these days.
I’m not against the loans though, we want to get the best players we possibly can, whichever way that is.

Try and get players like Kanu on a permanent before they shine on loan and get taken back. We obviously identify good players so try to get them permanently.
They aren’t for sale, they are being loaned out.
Lowe signed a 5 year contract before he came to us.
