Yes. I agree. I think my point is more how BB is protected from any criticism
Ouchā¦it only covers 6 matches, but still, that doesnāt make good reading. But at least we earned 3 points, could have been worse
Thanks for posting that - even though itās all quite disturbing - even more so when you consider our āeasyā games against the other sides in poor form yielded 1 point - both at homeā¦
I mentioned somewhere the other day that the bottom four were showing signs of improvement, results wise anyhow.
Sutton are now undefeated in five, Tranny and Grimsby in four, and in fact Grimsby moved out of that bottom group last night. FGR lost last night but had five points from the previous four matches.
Thankfully Colchester have lost three in a row.
No room for complacency though, especially if Sutton continue being hard to beat. Of course, we might win at Notts County, but if we donāt the Tranmere game is going to be an important one, for both teams.
As squad, bar wing backs, Trivela have done ok. On paper, we have a team that should be top 10. But the manager is shit and his backroom are too.
If you give someone like Cotterill this squad, we would be getting nose bleeds at the top of the table. Its not too late and the season could still be a success, but they need to act now.
Remember Fleetwood away in the FA Cup under Hutchings
Do I remember this right
Weād had a bad run he was on its last legs
As he walked across the pitch pre game the fans sang
Hutchings gave us a wave ā¦.
To be followed by chants of Wnker Wnker
The team was then well supported during the game.
Is Sadler in Hutchings territory yet ? Where heās going to get stick ?
Do we though? The quality in this league has gone up drastically and Iām not one who buys into the argument of this league being poor. It just isnāt the case these days. Thereās some seriously talented players down here earning fortunes.
We do have some players who are better than what weāve had in recent years, yes, but a lot of them are inexperienced who have never finished in the top 10 of league 2 so by what right are they top 10 league 2 players? I do agree with your sentiment that this team should be performing a lot better than what it is though.
As someone who isnāt totally Sadler out just yet, for me he has a 3 game spell, 1 of which was last night. The other two are Alfreton and Notts County. Fail to beat Alfreton and I think you have to say his time is up.
Beat Alfreton and then you look at whether it gives us some confidence for the County game, if it doesnāt and we go back to square 1 then Iād get rid after that.
So for answer 2, I donāt think leaving it 2 more games is too late.
As Iāve said a few times though, I totally get why people think he should go now.
Yes but, no but, yes but the pitches were atrocious for the last 6 games and we move onto the next extremely difficult match v Alfreton who are a top, top team, bang in form and riding high in the league and also the players in the squad are camera shy apart from Tom Knowles
It is about timing, but as mentioned elsewhere, if Trivela have potential Investors attending the Wrexham game, they will want a steady shipā¦you would think, not much time now before that happens and god forbid we lose in the cup and drop further in the league as looks likely after Notts County.
For me last night was equally as bad a Harrogate away last year and if that is an indication that the payers are playing for him the I really dont want to think about what happens if he does lose the dressing room. The coaching team for me as in MD/GW and DB are increasingly looking like the 3 stooges during the game (I am aware there are rules on interaction) but O
Kelly was up and down during games in his short stint as was Hatswell.
Think everyone should be emailing there complaints about Sadler to the top lads at Trivela

The night when I win the lottery and turn into a prandsome hince instead of a big ugly bugga!
Dreams eh, it what keeps us going, little else for us to hang on to.
I agree 100% on the 3 game situation, but ultimately the board should be flat out planning for life after Sadler and if the right person comes up and is interested then IMO we give Sadler the boot immediately and get the new guy in.
Thereās no point sacking him without a plan, but Iām 99% sure heās a dead man walking so it should be an open secret that the job may be coming up and we should be encouraging those interested to show their hand.
I donāt disagree with the theory, but in practice I think Smith would be bonkers to go anywhere near the job. In my opinion this is just another reason the focus should be on immediate promotion to League 1 and nothing else. At the arse end of League 2 we donāt have as many options as weād like to think. Itās too risky for a decent manager to ruin his reputation, and in Smithās case, happier memories.
What are people basing this notion that we have a good side, on paper, on? None of these players have achieved anything of note in their careers that you could point to in order to suggest they are of higher quality at this level?
I agree that we have an adequate side that should be performing slightly better than it is, especially with DJ in there. However, it is no better and no worse than the majority of squads that we have built at this level since relegation. The problem is, the competition and league continues to strengthen and progress and we continue to waddle along just hoping that there are two basket case teams worse than us. These teams are running out and the number of well-ran clubs waiting for clubs like ours luck to finally run out, gets bigger all the time.
Dean Smith
Could get Martin OāNeill and Steve Coppell in as his back room staff.
The problem here is that if we scrape a draw at Alfreton, the pressure on Trivela to sack MS will be relieved. However, it is quite possible that we could then lose at Notts County and also the FA Cup replay, and nothing will have changed, and 3 further weeks will have passed by.
Donāt forget Neil Cutler too. Not too shabby a line up there kshammer . Can see that coming offā¦
I was then rudely woken by some strange person in a hatā¦
Many of our starting line up last night have been brilliant for us at some point in the last 12 months (Iām thinking DJ, Daniels, Evans, Knowles), others have good records elsewhere at this level (Stirk, Farquarson) and others are promising loans (Draper).
Thereās no way a team containing those players should be in the bottom 6 of league 2. That their form has collectively and simultaneously dropped off a cliff suggests they donāt believe in the manager. That their performances have varied so much suggests that weāre neither coaching them properly nor motivating them.
In terms of return-on-investment, itās shocking. Iām not saying this side should be top 3 - but theyāre not a bottom half team either.
