Wes McDonald may be frustrating but it’s been years since we had a player that will run at people and beat them. If we he leaves which I think he will it’s criminal. Even if just until end of the season.
Yet, it stillwon’t be the end of the world.

Before Wes McDonald joined us he’d had many years knocking around in the nowhereland of academy football, played 9 games for Yeovil, and a few games on loan in non-league. It wouldn’t have been any great surpise given our pre-season If it was Edwards -John getting the contract and doing well and McDonald playing for Stratford Town, those are the fine margins. Love Wes, he’s great and has taken his chance. He will obviously get a contract offer and I hope he takes it to our mutual benefit going forward. There should be a plaque over the players’ entrance to Essington…“This is Walsall, where you get to work hard and realise your talent”, then in very small print in brackets…“like Sawyers, Bradshaw, Henry…and Brandy”.

I can see Wes having a few options to be fair . Which would make it all the more special if he decides to stay and also showing that team morale is good and players want to be here . Fingers crossed

really like wes very direct and a kind of old school winger that you dont see that much these days but i get the feeling he will be gone next month sadly.
He’s the only player we have atm that actually excites the crowd and gets people on their feet

Which won’t be much longer in my opinion, now is the time for the club to show their intention and make him an offer he can’t refuse, otherwise nothing has changed.

Agree I’m guessing your on about McDonald here?? If so he needs keeping our current change of fortunes on the pitch may just have helped the situation throw another few hundred quid a week at him jobs a good en what we reckon he’s currently on chunk??

We want to sign him but in view of the managers comments, think he said , " some players want to be millionaires overnight" dont think we should be held to ransom by players or agents.

I would guess at around £500-£600 a week?
Then it is up to DC to motivate him to stay, something along the lines of “big fish in a small pond” rather than “a little one in a big pond” stuff, he shines in our poor team at the moment, and he has plied his trade elsewere with little success, so with some good management he may want to stay?

What you reckon then a bag of sand a week?? I think that will tempt him he’s gonna be a first team squad member anyways that’s a given I agree with you though statement of intent would be to tie him down for another year and a half
