Gash. My stream from ifollow has just finished five minutes after full time. I only got a season ticket as an act of charity this year so the EFL needs to sort this ■■■■ out! I stream all normal stuff on my internet with 4 Netflix etc in the house but this ain’t acceptable
Based on what Geordie? As the standard of all leagues has improved over the years, so has this one. From my memory it is a much higher standard than the last time we were here, and I watched most of the dross that season, but back then we had a much better team relative to the others, than we have now.
Trying to play Gordon back to match fitness too soon is a mistake. He looks off the pace. A very poor penalty as others have said. Poor as MacDonald’s decision making can be he is our main threat without Holden and with luck might have nicked a second. If Holden is out for weeks we need to find a right winger or a different way of playing, perhaps 3511 with Norman and Nurse/Jules getting forward more.

Holden just seems to be the difference. It’s not just his own performance .It’s the way he brings out the best in the players round him. But if you’re dependent on one player, you leave yourself vulnerable.
Forest Green second with 37 points from 21. Cheltenham 4th with 35 points from 21. You normally need 75 points to get in play offs but going to be a bit lower with those points hauls so far from the top teams.
Would be amazed if Salford aren’t in the top 3, I think they’ll win the league tbh so will have a quick look at their odds before they play next.
Roberts didn’t look to convincing to me either , think rose has been steady after taking his place .
It is discipline. Or staying “switched on” as the coaches would say. We have half a dozen or so moments per game where we snooze or do something daft.
Today it was a striker who did both of those things for the first goal and then Norman getting over excited during our spell on top for the second.
Rose also made some good saves from moments where we just lost our men in the box. Pick any goalie from the two plus Scarr and Clarke is just not a good enough base for us. Not an effort thing just not good enough to be more than scraping a living at the bottom of their profession.
Same for the forwards. The penalties the case in point. Men trying very hard indeed but actually not very good at their jobs. The skill involved in striking a dead ball true from twelve yards beyond some very limited capabilities.
Does that mean it’s god awful or competitive?
My i-follow stream has at least 3 minute delay. It is annoying because I have to watch upstairs as my family have sky sports on and I see if we have conceded a goal before it happens on i-follow. During tonight’s match I phoned my son to see what he thought of the match, to be told we had missed a penalty. We hadn’t even been awarded it on my stream.

17/18 table had Accy winning it with 93 points, Luton 2nd with 88 points and Wycombe 3rd with 84 points.
Would be amazed if anyone gets close to even 90 points, certainly not Newport or Forest Green.
Two of those now in the championship and Accy might make play offs in league 1 so that was a strong year of teams at the top.
Make that three as Coventry won the play offs. They finished 7th on 75 points.
Bring in Jayden Campbell Sam Perry and Joe Willis, and try and move out Osadabe Sinclair and Guthrie, I’d rather lose playing the kids than wasting wages on these 3

I use that in a positive manner - I listen to the ifollow commentary, but have radio WM on in the background. That way when I hear the goal horn on WM, I can emotionally prepare myself for Walsall conceding a goal.
