I won’t be getting a season ticket next season they can all feck off…that’s 2 season I’m saving on… club is a complete joke… whilst teams in our league are still signing players we went home at 5 ffs… this club makes me so fecking angry… I can’t believe we have played over 30 games and stuck to 1 fecking formation

I’ll be sending the early bird offer back to Pomlett with a penned letter setting out my current position with copies enclosed for distribution to Taylor, Fullerton, Gamble, Mole and Whittaker. That way they can understand why I’ll be declining after 20 odd years of being a ST holder and 35 years of support.

I’ve had a season ticket for the best part of 20 years but myself and my Son will not be renewing. We will be attending another local team from now on until real change happens.

On more than one occasion I’ve debated going to watch the Pics or Hednesford rather than us, the footballs not much different and at least I wouldn’t feel like I’m being conned every time I go.

Instead of going to Bristol Rovers last Saturday (30mins away) I went to see Ashton & Blackwell in the tenth tier (who my mates son plays for).
£6 a ticket
Superb pasty & chips
Drank lager throughout the game

Occurred to me this week that my dedication to Walsall means I’ve watched very little in the way of live elite level football. Always felt being emotionally involved in a game was a decent trade-off for the quality of football, but that seems to be fading fast…

I think part of the reason I like non league football is that I don’t really care who wins, so I can just settle back and watch both teams.

Been following Walsall for 60yrs I’ve seen some rubbish done original 92 clubs in my time but this last couple of seasons as tested my faith, I got my Grandson a season ticket this year because he was enthusiastic after seeing his first game Walsall v Exeter last game before the lock down, but for him I wouldn’t getting a season ticket for the first time in years.

Could well be my last ST. Tired and bored of it now. Been contemplating going to a few non league matches for a while.
What a shame that is especially as my 8 year old asked me about going to another game. Could be two generations lost in one go.
