At this point we can have our own Trivela league!

They’re currently 4th in the Danish Premier League

That is an absolute massive purchase by them

Any chance of them reaching the UEFA Conference League I wonder

Wake up Walsall Fans.

We are becoming just a piece on the board of the Trivella game.

Walsall FC will not be first and foremost in their aspirations.

Walsall fc is not the driver like say Man City are in the City group or Brighton are in theirs.

We are just becoming a bit of the puzzle. Success may be a by product of it but we are just part of this big plan now.

I rate their work so far but fear we are on a bad path

Gates this season are very similar to ours. Highest just under 8,000 , average about 5 1/2.

Ok lets bring back Bonser and Pomlett Omlett … I am sure we will be at the forefront of their dashing Pension Fund plans !!

I’m not saying there is a perfect answer.

I’m not denying that there is progress.

I’m urging caution as to where we sit in this grand plan and at what point we will be hindered or on the thick end of the stick

Yes there is a theoretical risk Trivela could neglect Walsall at the expense of their other teams but all the evidence so far is that is not how they will operate. Indeed if they did it would reduce the ‘value’ of Walsall which as investors it’s not in their interests to do so.

Perhaps when there is some hard evidence of Walsall being neglected you can post it then, until then, as others have said, it’s better than Bonser.

Anyway Silkeborg sounds like a good away day. :slightly_smiling_face:

When is the third, third and third scarf with Walsall Drogheda and Silkeborg coming out?

Will Silkeborg bring home the bacon in the form of Danish players or will we lose some of our gems to the Danish Super League.? That is the question. Like STRETCH I am cautious about this although I respect the work Trivela have done with our Club.

Hmm. As the Drogheda link appears to be at least a net positive, I’ll have patience with it and see how it unfolds. For every argument for there is one against. An investor splitting their interests between many projects isn’t necessarily a good thing for us, but then this could benefit us in other ways.

There will be people who tell you everything Trivela do is amazing, telling you this is amazing for us. There will be people who slate everything they do, slating it. The truth is, impossible to tell at this point, but they’ve earned the patience previous owners haven’t with their decision making to this point.

Or that we can start to see some international flavour down the Bezla. There is also a massive sell to young players. Id rather be a small part of a project thats moving forward rather than a solo project that stinks.

Scandinavian football style is probably the closest to the English style, the money in football is in the English league, maybe we’ll become the shop window for promising Scandinavian players to be sold on at the higher English prices than you’d get for them in other international transfers.

We’d need to be in the Championship for that.

Silkeborg IF average attendance is around 5,500 so sizewise they seem to be similar.
Ground capacity is 10,000

Im not bothered by this, Drogs link has been net positive and a pre season game in Denmark would be fun.

The way I look at it is the most money is in English football. An established championship Walsall FC side would be a far more valuable asset than a top half Danish Superliga side. Plus it casts the net of all 3 Trivela sides a lot further, there will be players better suited to each side in the portfolio and allows all of the clubs to be shopping in a bigger market. Just look at the benefit for both Drogs and DJT this year !

We need to be in League 1 minimum for that, more likely Championship

I think for now the only benefit will be access to some of their youth players or Scandinavian lower league talent. Obviously if we progress up the leagues the net opportunity for us increases

Unfortunately Brexit has made that impossible.
