I was programme editor at Strollers for quite a few seasons! Sadly they too packed up in the late 90s.

One of my favourite players. I’d have liked him to spend the autumn of his career at FP, but by the time he was of a suitable age we had more than enough diminutive midfielders. 
He was a “schemer”, back when they had such things, and of course he forced the football authorities to change the rules regarding free-kicks.

What? You’re seriously saying that Man Utd bribe the VAR operator to get decisions to help them win games? 
. If I was you I’d give all the evidence you’ve got and give it to the police 
One of the key benefits to supporting the Saddlers is knowing we’ll probably never make the Premiershit or a FA cup semifinal and have our games ruined by VAR

Exactly. Its the rule that needs changing. You can even be offside with a part of the body you can’t score with. Arsene Wenger who is advisor to FIFA or UEFA said sone time ago it should only be offside if the whole body is beyond the line. Haven’t heard any update on this but surely the game is about scoring goals so advantage should be with the attacking side.

That puzzles me as well. Must be a good thirty years ago that the rule changed to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking side with offside. The way VAR is being used now reverses that. I also wonder whether it needs some equivalent of Umpire’s Call in cricket, where if it’s close, they stay with the original onfield decision.

Yeah they was the best team in in the bloxwich combination league in the late 70,s early 80,s they won everything then they moved into the West Brom district premier league
I always headed up to the slang on Sunday mornings if I wasn’t playing myself or match was off always 4/5 games going on and meet up with old mates like you say the best game to watch was always down bottom left corner Leamore cons .always a raucous crowd I remember.happy days mate .did a guy called Steve Taylor play for them thin gangly centre forward .
Yes I remember him scored some cracking goals and Robert jessop he was a good centre half and I think i can remember a fast winger think they called him pepper sheppard yeah the crowd used to disperse at 12 o’clock when the club or red lion used to open or down the butlers arms and black oss leamores finest watering holes

Anyone had the email to say their ifollow has been cancelled ?
Yes i have and seen a few on FB said the same. So for UK residents there will be no audio of every game i assume 
which is a bit cack unless Sky replace it which i cant see happening
I got the email too. I think the initial announcement said there would still be uk commentary, my guess is that they’re shutting down ifollow and we’ll get a new (possibly Sky-branded) equivalent service before the season starts.
