Stewart Mairs appointed Head of Football

We’re back at square one, with this season marking the end of the Sadler experiment. So the key question is: what’s the plan to get out of this division? Is it a five-year strategy, and what does it actually involve?

Leigh Pomlett in 2103 when he’s 145 years old, we’ve been in League 2 for 84 consectutive seasons, just missed out on automatic promotion to a 96th minute deflected winner on the final day to Halesowen Town after being top at Christmas by 37 points and losing loan star striker Josh Gordon Jr in January, eventually losing to Dudley Town in the final at Wembley, 1-0.

Simple, but important questions which require simple, but important answers.

Asked Google Gemini to check the websites of Trivela and Walsall to create an organogram of all roles Head of and above.

Probably not accurate in terms of reporting lines, but it I’d say we may not have a enough desk space for them all in the office

So excl the Trivela board to keep it simple…..

We’ve got 14 executive leaders and managers at WFC and we can only drop from top on Boxing day to bottom half…. Surely they aspire to us finishing bottom 3 with that line up!

It honestly is crazy, stupid and unwarranted……

And the biggest mystery of all - why the hell have we got 2 head chefs, it’s a disgrace….. :man_shrugging:t2::joy:

Seriously though - in any other organisation (even one doing brillianty well) a structure like that would attract scrutiny, criticism and overhaul…. It’s plain crazy…

Any ‘business improvement process’ would tear that up in 5 minutes and save the club many £100,000’s

Only at WFC could this madness be allowed.. and when you couple it to the fact that we are failing so abjectly in our footballing activities, Trivela and the local leadership should hang their heads in shame….

Even more of a disgrace given we’ve got 2 head chefs is we haven’t got a head of head chefs.

If we need more chips we will need a specific head of chips to manage it…..

And a few more kids at the kiosks to tell us we’ve ran out

Stewart Mairs ?? As he is introduced by the pitchside wailer the fans response is “ Who the fecking hell are you, who the fecking hell are you “ another nobody suit to walk along fortress bescots corridors proudly sporting the club tie and sit in the padded seats, it’s a padded room we need to house all these yank lunatics and their comrades, aaaah the distinctive smell of non league fills the nostrils of all WFC fans.

Nice effort, though Google Gemini isn’t great for selecting accurate photos - as can be seen by the ones for Ben Boycott, Ken Polk, Wesley Hill and Matt Jordan!

Paul Mason as Head Groundsman and Head Chef - a true multi-tasker.

Welcome New Bloke. Best of luck, and hope you have a thick skin.

  • Only 7 out of 43 roles (16%) are directly delivering Men’s First Team performance (coaching + performance support).
  • Even when you include football enablers (Head of Football + recruitment + academy), only 13 out of 43 roles (30%) are aligned to football success overall.
  • Meaning ~70% of the organisation is not focused on Men’s First Team success.

The organisational structure seems to be a mess. The only way I can see it being made better is to post a Head of Organograms to sort it out.

I did caveat for accuracy.

Paul Mason has probably got confused with his role as Head Groundsman, given he probably thinks he is tending to a vegetable patch given the 11 cabbages he regularly witnesses operating on his pride and joy

Think we need a Head of Thick Skin to data analyse that

The mystery is solved. Paul Mason is to blame for inadvertently mixing sticky toffee pudding in with the grass seed to make, yes you’ve guessed it, a sticky pitch. Our undoing is explained.

Two (too) many cooks spoil the broth?

I hope Stewart Mairs will esure the first team can play at least 2 different formations - to avoid Mat Sadlers tatical intransigence which caused our post xmas collapse and ultimately his job
