really liked the look of him when he played them
Has the same agent (LPM football Agents Ltd) as Conner Barrett, Jack Earring and Josh Gordon as well. They also represent Mat Sadler,
Fantastic thread this one. One for the archives in May.
You are being very annoying mate
Itās the tragic position that āfansā who predict failure for Walsall put themselves in.
They either have to take a knock to the ego or hope any success is fleeting.
Dim witted doesnāt even come close to describing it.
I predicted failure this season to be fair and im more than happy to eat my words, even with the recent blip.
Im not a doom and gloom merchant, I just wasnt convinced with our recruitment in the Summer - even when Lowe cam in (after 5 games or so?) I wasnt.
Then i was also firmly Sadler out for a fairly long period of time, still wasnt convinced by him in the summer, even though heād probably earned another crack at it.
Happy to admit I was wrong.
One thing i will say is - nobody took me up on the Ā£20 bet for charity that weād finish lower than last season.
Thereās a difference between fearing you will have a bad season and out right predicting relegation or worse
Eleven points clear of fourth place which is what is important. Automatic promotion was the hope/aim at the start of the season and with eighteen games to go we are well on track.
A bit concerning how many goals we have started conceding. It is hard to win games if you have to score 3 or more to do so.
We will sort it out though, promotion is what it is the main prize and I am sure we will get over the line.
Every side has a poor spell at least once, but most, twice a season.
Itās why talk of Sadler being sacked if we got off to a poor start was nonsense.
Some teams start poor and get betterā¦.some start well tail off and re-emergeā¦some start well and end poorlyā¦.
All that matters is the points total and the league position at the end. Anything else is just part of the journey.
An extract from the last time we won the League in 2007.
12 games where we only won 3 and lost 4.
Points gained like yesterday become very valuable come the end of the season. A bit like the Rochdale game on the picture where we snatched a late point.
Weāll be fine, but it is also natural to become a bit jittery as a fan too.
Good post for some perspective
Compare the tables between now and the same point (gamewise) that season:

Weāre still well on course.
Strange to see Boston above Wrexham at the bottom of the league in 2007ā¦how things change.
And that week with the Lincoln, Hartlepool and Stockport games in reminded me a lot of the last week with Bradford and Fleetwood.
We were utterly useless in those three games and we bounced back in form. After seeing us yesterday, I think we can get back to our best.
The performance at Fleetwood was very much like Stockport away, in fact we were probably slightly better at Fleetwood.
Losing Lowe was obviously a massive blow, but I think we will score enough goals still. What is concerning is how many goals we are leaking all of a sudden and a lot of them are quite similar.
Har, totally agree.
Think the goals yesterday were individual errors rather than team stupidity. Felt different to Bradford and Fleetwood.
Losing Lowe is obviously bad, but losing Matt compounded it loads.
For what itās worth, I largely agree with Andyās analysis.
We almost bladdered it against Salford, too, and we do have a problem scoring goals (goals per attempt) and the defence is having a bit of a wobble, but I really have faith that Sadler and staff will steady the ship in plenty of time to ensure promotion - or better. And we have bloody good players to come back!
UTS
That run of loses in 06/07 was horrendous - exactly like Bradford and Fleetwood.
I remember there being heavy snow down here the day before Hartlepool and debate whether the game would go ahead. It did and it was freezing bloody cold and the football was awful.
Cant remember the Lincoln game to be honest.
Stockport away on the Tuesday night was as bad as Hartlepool. Im pretty sure they set a club record (may have been equalled or beaten last season) of 9 wins on the bounce around that point of the season, it may have even been that game against us.
Witnessed a miracle though after the game. A Stockport fan on crutches giving us a friendly farewell with a few gestures as we were sat, stationary on the coach. Something happened and as the coach pulled away, he threw the crutches and started chasing the coach
EDIT:
They did indeed win 9 in a row - without conceding a goal. Thats a football league record, still.
We were āvictimā number 8.
They won 12 on the bounce last season, smashing that record.
Lincoln game was on a Friday night, was on TV (Sky I think)
We didnāt play that bad as I remember it.
