Stuttle Signs

Football is going to be very direct by the looks of it

Some people said after Flynn that they actually didn’t care about results if the terrible style of football improved. Say what you like about Flynns style of play, he never brought in 4 battering rams, a bunch of clogging centre halfs, and propped up the table for possession stats.

I’ve never liked Sadlers style of play. People pretended there was a step change, I’d argue it was actually one down not up. It was only palatable when we were literally top of the league. Fair play to those that enjoy watching us lump it and chase shadows, but I find it boring as sin.

the football under Flynn was dire we literally created nothing relied on DJ to take a chance then try to hold on after he went back we scored little and created little. First half of last season with Sadler we were exciting created chances and scored for fun we were the highest scorers in the league it was a nice change

Replace ā€œwith Sadlerā€, to ā€œwith Loweā€ and you’ll be about right :+1::grin:

This is a thread for Jonny Stuttle. There’s plenty of other threads where you can spout whatever you like about our manager or style of football.

And he is one of the battering ram centre forwards I am discussing.

Surely style of football is relevant to every single signing.

No.

Just is though :joy: I get it. You don’t like people talking about the football you don’t have to watch :+1:

But, if he is flying. Bournemouth may also want to keep him where he is. This is far less risky than Lowe.

Agreed, a safer bet, albeit I’d prefer we had our own man.

If he does well for us and scores a few Bournemouth could sell him in Jan.

Apparently he’s good at evading defenders and flying in for diving headers like he’s got a rocket up his arse.So basically he’s a space stuttle.

Good evening Walsall fans …

Seriously hope you actually score loads and you get to stay the whole of the season if you do.

Never forgive Bobbins for ruining Lowes chance of a promotion with us when he called him back, hope it doesn’t happen again.

Should get on well with Sadler then, he’s good at evading anyone who might ask him an awkward question.

Bad neck time for anyone watching us. I hope Burke etc can ping some artillery 50 metres so Lakin et al can have a rest from possession.

This is a great coup for us.

He is hard working, an old school number 9 and he is very physical. He’s a well rounded forward and offers us something different to our other attacking options.

Seems we beat off plenty of competition for the opportunity to develop young Jonny so well done to all at the club for getting this one over the line.

Welcome Jonny and I hope it goes as well for you as it did for Freddie Draper and Nathan Lowe.

With so many new players, and probably more to come, it will take a time for the players to get to know each other’s games.

I’m not being sarcastic or intending to be negative, but some of the teams trying to sign him were non league teams.
