Or maybe Rotherham?

Good to see Joe Edwards back.

Interesting that, in addition to the famous five (Labadie, Wilkinson, McEntee, Riley and Gordon) we have a couple more carrying injuries. I imagine one of them is White. The other could be Hutchinson, Earing or Williams.

People have said it before but I cannot remember a time when 5 first team probables have been out with long-term injuries.

Great to have Edwards back to ask the questions and get some news for us

After more than one now with the 5 injuries and other players really struggling for fitness . Iā€™d imagine white for example he keeps pulling up

Also gonna be ages before we see Riley , seen a specialist again

Yes, Riley is beginning to parallel Holden. We may never see him play. Ken Armstrong for the 21st Century.

Iā€™m wondering if Joe Riley will become the glass man mk2 I hope not we donā€™t need and canā€™t carry another Rory Holden, but I suppose we could off load him to Port Vale if all else fails.

Wouldnā€™t surprise me to see him back at the bagladies or even the bluenoses,

Think heā€™s said before he wants to play as high as he can so donā€™t think heā€™d drop to league 2

Riley played 73 times over a 2 year spell for Carlisle, Iā€™m hoping heā€™s not another Holden once his issues are sorted which fingers crossed wonā€™t be too long.

Heā€™s been out 6/7 weeks, must be serious .

Two seasons ago, he was out for 6 months with an ACL. I hope this injury is not related - if it is, we may never see him play.

Iā€™ve not looked at our squad with respect to this EFL regulation but does anyone know where we stand on the numbers now?
EFL regulation 44.9:

44.9 Squad Lists

44.9.1 Clubs shall be permitted to name up to a maximum number of Players in their Squad List based on the following provisions:

(a) in respect of Championship Clubs, 25 Players of which a minimum of 8 must be a Home Grown Player; and

(b) in respect of League One and Two Clubs 22 Players of which a minimum of 8 must be a Home Grown Player.

44.9.2 The following Players do not need to be included in the Squad List to be eligible to play in League Matches:

(a) in respect of Championship Clubs, any Under 21 Player (save for any Under 21 Player who is registered with the Club on a Temporary Loan Transfer); and

(b) in respect of League One Clubs and League Two Clubs:

(i) any Under 21 Players; and

(ii) goalkeepers.

Home grown is defined as

A ā€œHome-Grown Playerā€ means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

I would say all of our players are ā€˜home grownā€™ as they all came through British clubs academies.

Owen Evans and Adam Przybek wouldnā€™t count looking at the regulations, nor would Maher (or Sawyers/Shaw) should they join the squad at any point this season. Not sure on Bennett and DJT as they turn 21 later in the season.

On the clubs website we have a squad list of 30 players, with four out on loan (Menayese, Foulkes, Perry and Kiernan), five players who are currently part of the squad are under the age of 21 (Maher, Shaw, Sawyers, Bennett and DJT).

As the GKā€™s are not included in the overall amount, that should leave 19 players who need to be registered if iā€™ve understood that correctly.

Someone will correct me if iā€™m wrong.

So with Flynn wanting 2 more who are we after?. Only 1 can be a loan

I believe we can have as many loan players as we like, but only name a maximise of 5 in a matchday squad

I know nothing about him but could it be us?

Dunno, according to that heā€™s turned down Mansfield and maybe Stevenage, probably looking to stay in League One.
