Swindon Town (A) - League 2 - Sat 17th August, 3:00pm

Not bad with the clean sheets given we have a midfielder in defence…

First time we’ve had the score of 4-0 away since 2015 when we beat Blackpool away

On WM before the match, they said we conceded first in 18 away matches last season.
A shocking statistic and one we hopefully improve on this season.

Cracking result, and play has been great during our first three matches, if not yet consistently.

Let’s not get carried away yet though, this time two seasons ago we were top of the table with a +5 GD, and we know how that ended.

Yeah - I watched it on iFollow too. The difference now is that we were far better than Morecambe and I was amazed we only scored once. And then we beat Exeter, albeit on pens. However I think we more than matched them.

So hopefully we have something that is blossoming and the reports I have read, as well as the comments from you guys, are all very positive. Imagine if we had a couple of half decent strikers?

I know it’s early - but this is a great result - and I would love to read what the doom-mongers who were so vociferous in pre-season are now thinking.

Just got home, we were very good today, Swindon saying they were bad but we put it right on them for more or less 90 mins, Swindon maybe had a 5 min spell first half apart from that that’s it.

The work rate of some of those players is unbelievable, and the team spirit is clear to see. Long may it continue. Off to Tranmere next week, hopefully with everyone who played today with a clean bill of health.

Being completely honest the only one who hasnt really impressed me much today is Lakin i know it’s early days but I’m yet to be sold on him find him a bit frustrating and he doesnt look anywhere near the level that Hutch was.

And that is great, mate. Hope your trip is as enjoyable.

Hope so, this team deserves our support on the showing of the last 3 games. Aware not to get too carried away lol.

At this point I also have to join the humble pie crew in regards to me questioning the laser focus recruitment so far over the summer.I hope the team continues to play well and you can just tell that they are all like a family away from their families.

I hope we batter them because I know two Tranmere fans. :grinning:

Ye of little faith. 2-0 next week.

Think they’ve drew their opening two league games and scored 1 goal. Always a tough place to go but off the top of my head I think we have a decent record there.

I need 3 more for my 4aways before the coupon man comes next Wednesday

Tails likes a goal at Tranmere aswell. Still top goalscorer in L2 after 3 games then? :joy:
