Taylor out?

According to Taylor, we have a “plethora of really good players”! Have I missed something? How many of this lot would get in the PFA team of the year? Err…no one, with the possible exception of Rushworth (the August to November version). I think we have a plethora of mediocre players plus a few real donkeys. We are really short in the most important area of the pitch: the final third. That’s why we don’t score enough goals and hence are mid-table in a poor division.

It is statements like that, that gets managers disliked and begs the question, does he know what he is talking about? very DC like

That is what worries me about MT. I don’t expect and wouldn’t want him to publcally come out and berate and criticise the players to the media. But similarly making statements like that leaves him open to doubt and ridicule!!! The problem is that our players when they train are playing against each other, and our forwards are playing against our own defenders, so no wonder our strikers look sharp and good!!!

Literally every manager says this. Clarke said it multiple times. Dutton said it. Keates said it. Doesn’t mean anything.

I bet Shade looks like another Pele running down the wing against Ward!!! :joy::joy::joy:

Did WFHYS copy this off you? Saw it on their Facebook offering!

Also, stop moaning and get behind the manager.

Maybe he’s just trying to instil confidence in his players, in the squad. It would be a bit strange if he said what Saddlertd said: it would hardly enthuse the players and get them fighting for him. It might be kidology but it’s an essential part of management, like being very careful of publicly criticising individual players - it only works with very few individuals and most managers, rightly in my opinion, won’t do it. Such stuff is best left behind closed doors and/or on the training ground.

I wish Taylor wasn’t either stubborn enough or stupid enough to see that we don’t have the players for 4231. What do we have to gain by persisting with this seriously? We’ve played well like twice with this formation.
Come on Taylor

You were primed to call for his head…

I feel like I inspired the 2nd half attacking display lol

I think it did. I’d also like to think that my half time sherry helped as well … plus the other 2 in the second half. Definitely a bit of Spanish flair after the break.

No no sir… I mistakenly posted my after match comments here instead of the Newport thread. I am sure you can check the timing

How long before people start seeing Taylor’s incompetence aswell? One decent draw and again people like him. Guys tactically inept, couldn’t motivate a man in a brothel , what’s he shown seriously? What do people see I will not get it

Guys worse than Clarke and frocking Dutton. A poster on here mentioned Dutton wasn’t as bad as we thought. I believe now he was right. Taylor an assistant manager and a DoF and the clubs still shite. Frock Taylor McDonald and Fullerton of and get a guy in who’s actually good at his job
. 3 incompetent men doesn’t fix a problem mole and gamble prove that. Get rid of all 3 and get in a proper manager. Bloody disgraceful club

He’s in his first season as a manager. I’ll be supporting him for a while yet, but he needs to either prove that his system and tactics work, or else make some changes.
