Good appointment. Let’s hope Mick McCarthy doesn’t take a job in the next few months.
Westie saying Terry Connor was at the game tonight, maybe the next interim assistant manager?
Think Mick has pretty much retired now hasn’t he? His last job at Blackpool was pretty bad and now he’s filling his time doing podcasts with Tony Pulis so shouldn’t have to worry too much about that unless another young coach in their first job is desperate for experienced assistant.

TC also based in Sutton Coldfield. Was walking down to Sutton Park one afternoon and cut through the Maney Hill area and Terry Connor was taking out the bins as I walked past, clocked him straight away!

So he is local and highly experienced so a good appointment to fill the Chris Powell void at short notice.

A fabulous appointment.

A much loved and vastly experienced member of the football family. Sure he will bring plenty to support Sadler.

Rob Edwards on the verge of being appointed by W*lves…..

Please tell me he has a group of assistants who follow him everywhere. Can see it now Boro refusing to let them all leave mid season so he has to scout around for experienced assistant who lives locally….

It is a strange one that, only been at the club a few months, they are well placed and should be in the mix for promotion at the end of the season. Swapping that for Wolves when there is every chance the clubs could be swapping places next season, well maybe the :pound_banknote: is doing the talking.

I’m so glad that the powers that be are setting a high bar regards recruitment of staff. Chris Powell was top drawer and so is Connor. Welcome To and I wish you all the best.

Said very much tongue in cheek.

I remember a conversation with a friend during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He said he couldn’t stand the droning noise during the match commentaries. You mean those vuvuzela things, I asked. No, Mick McCarthy, he replied.

He’s got Viveash with him at Middlesbrough so likely he’ll go with him to Wolves.

Experienced coach, so is a good appointment. His managerial record is a sight to behold. I am sure as Walsall fans we can all appreciate the job he did in 13 games down at the Custard Bowl

MS has confirmed he’s been in and around the club for the past few weeks.

Have you seen the trailer for Saipan?

Steve Coogan plays Mick McCarthy. To be fair, it looks pretty good to me:
