The body Language & Waving thread

As this appears to be a regular topic that pops up, maybe we can use this thread as a discussion for all theories about players waving, hand gestures and their body language.

Johnson yesterday, waving goodbye? or secret hand signal ?

Barrett, Lazy and disinterested stance on the pitch, or constipated?

Let the speculation begin!

I’m still waiting for a satisfactory explanation of the John Whitney use of cases, tense and other grammar mystery.

my body language was fantastic after Salfords 2nd goal …even better body language afte DJ’s equaliser

On a serious note, what was the whole shushing motion he made, people been giving him grief?

Lots on here saying he was crap and should be moved on after the previous couple of games, probably it.

Don’t think that’s what’s been said by most, think the narrative has been it’s probably time to move as he’s been under used, Sadler doesn’t seem to rate him, and he has suffered as a result.

Pretty sure most of us agree he is a good player at this level if he is given game time, in a system that suits him.

Johnson was definitely urging his team mates on after he scored. He probably feels disappointed with some of the chances he has missed of late; Bradford, Peterborough, Reading etc so a sense of defiance from him as some have been writing him off.

Probably had grief after missing that penalty…

Even top strikers miss chances, easy ones too. The best strikers don’t care, they just keep getting in the positions to score.

I don’t really have a problem that he hasn’t been able to force his way in this season, we have done superbly well and Lowe was probably one of if not the best in the division.

I’d still back Johnson to score 20 goals if he played all season.

He would be a good pick up for a league 2 team that accepted him for what he is, played to a style to suit, and made him feel like he was the main man.

I hope the shush wasn’t for fans, because in the main they have stuck with him and there is still a lot of love for him with Walsall fans.

agree with your post, all strikers miss chances; Haaland to name one but there are hundreds I could name down the decades. What they are good at is making space and getting into good positions to score. Johnson does this instinctively. I hope we keep him for this season as I believe that he can play a part in a successful season.

And rightly so! He’s sht at penalties and he took it off Allen, who would have most probably scored, bringing us back into the game. Saying that, unless we are bringing in Mullen from Wrexham (or similar), I’d keep DJ.

Yeah. I think he knows something.
PS I posted my pennorth on the Salford thread before finding this one. Oops!
I urge you to check it out for dodgy information (as well as erudition, balderdash, analysis, geriatric meanderings and love for The Saddlers - and Danny Johnson).

PS Great title for the thread. Love it.
Well done, Derby

Crabs?

It’s definitely aimed at the bench, or the bloke who is always booing and shouting abuse in the main stand. Might not even be Sadler, could be an issue with ROK or another player.

Secret society shout out innit
