This is the key to opening it for sports events. Shall I go and pay around £4 a pint for whatever I want in a more convenient location, or shall I go and pay over fiver for a selection of about four beers and two over priced American imports, just off a retail park nowhere near my house
Personally think they’ve got to make it a point of difference from going down your local to watch it. There are catering facilities on site so why can’t they offer an entry price and include a pint and a cheapish chicken in a basket/burger type meal thrown in with the entry price. With their links with the club they could also try and get an existing/ex player or associate of the club to do some Q&A interview and analysis of the game half time and post match and/or tombola raffle type thing with some Walsall prizes.
This is about the 3rd or 4th event they’ve tried now on a non matchday game, I’m genuinely intrigued how many people they’ve got in for these so far. Has anyone off here attended any?
Lol.
Agreed. Cant see the sense in these sort of events when most people could simply go to the Local and watch those sort of matches.
Anyone been to a match or other showing there yet? What was the attendance like?
The Locker comes in at a poor 3rd choice really doesn’t it .1st comes home tele and cheap booze from supermarket .2nd comes down the local £4 a pint and mates .family and bit of atmosphere england game or club game that interests. 3rd Locker expensive ale poor choice ,uncomfortable seating ,transport needed probably poorly attended .
I haven’t been but there was someone posted on here that they popped in the night they had the Fury fight on and he said there were only two other blokes in there.
I think it was a few hours before the fight though.
Hope you aren’t complaining about the fabulous décor there!
Agree, apart from 1. Dont watch it at all
Yes think the fighters finally got to throw a punch at each other at 23.43 . To late for me that I’m having my Horlicks
Didn’t want to appear to be moaning just for the sake of it
I very rarely watch the fights live ,but I must say I do like listening to a big boxing live event on the radio . I find it the one sport that’s really exciting to listen to especially when you get a good commentator can even come across better than the actual fight .think also it’s a bit nostalgic for me takes me back years when my dad was glued to the radio listening to the Cassius Marcellus Clay fights .He was a big boxing fan .taught me to box as a very young kid .
My brother in law was in there for the fight and he said it did get busy closer to the fight
Me and a few mates were thinking about going there for the first England game during the Euros but unsure due to not knowing how many others will be there and if it will be a good atmosphere.
As others have said above, the Club needs to reduce the price of the beer to entice people to go there for anything other than a home game.
Why would you go to The Locker when you are paying over the odds for a limited choice of drinks compared to going to your local pub, or even getting cheaper beers from the supermarket and staying home or visiting mates.
They could also start doing food in there to encourage custom, there is the room in there if they wanted to rather than getting outside caterers on the car park in vans.
Really want The Locker to be a success for the club and Trivela now they’ve spent the money on doing the place up, but they have to have a rethink with what they offer, and at what price they charge.
Put a coach on from Brownhills stopping at Clayhanger and Bloko ,breakfast and a stripper before the match place will be rammed.Just Keep the members out I mean IN
Locker is a good name for A strip club tbf
There will be loads up for it
They’ll keep cum’in back for more …
I didn’t think there was a kitchen in the locker.
I could be wrong, because it wouldn’t be on view!
Anyone know?
