The Locker

The fiver ain’t gone down well with away fans, barely any in there from what I’ve heard (only go in Tuesday nights myself)

That’s something they’ll wanna sort id imagine or failing that open both rooms to home fans and fk em

Agree about away fans .
They drink a lot of beer so would let a limited number we can accommodate in for free

Its got everything necessary.

If a company wants to have a meeting at somewhere glamorous, they won’t be looking anywhere near Walsall in the first place.

It’s clean and functional with excellent transport links/facilities and can accommodate a few hundred people.

Just because you don’t like the place, it doesn’t make it an unattractive venue

I’m pretty sure starting from next season, season ticket holders get 10% off beer bought before 1pm on a Saturday matchday.

It was one of the perks they listed in the Early Bird I’m sure, I’ll try and find it.

Not denying any of that, just pointing out it’s a much lower bar than was set originally for why it was worth the money.

No I’ve given reasons for why I think that earlier in the thread.

Yes, I get it, the decor and design isn’t to your taste.

Your taste isn’t the final arbiter here.

The locker has great potential for a meeting/training room.
We CAN increase the business we already have in the stadium suite and have a decent match day facility.

I agree with you that, (nowadays) I see little potential for profitable night time entertainment due to its location.

Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this but I renewed my season ticket during the early bird and after the last home game threw the 23/24 one away, if I turn up at the locker I haven’t got the 24/25 st yet and can’t show the old one so would I have to pay a fiver to enter.

youd have your receipt for the 24/25 ST, show that.

If they still charge you a fiver then complain.

TBF to Walsall FC Ive always found them very helpful on things like this, i.e. they give you the benefit of the doubt, so don’t think you’d have an issue.

@simon asked the same kind of question lasy season as I think he forgot his membership card or something.

I asked the security guys who said just show some proof of putchase. Im sure Simon was then allowed in wothout having to pay

The events so far in the close season have been free I think so I am not sure you will need it until you get your 24/25 ticket.

The 23/24 one wouldn’t be valid anyway now would it?

I think they only charge for entry on matchdays at the moment, so you should be fine.

Nope, I also gave other reasons :+1: And besides:

An expansion of already successful existing facilities, (which you don’t like the look of, we know)
sounds like a good idea to me.

There is also the bonus of a quality, popular, match day space.
People have been using the Locker in large numbers on match days.
And that’s despite the fact you don’t approve of the decor and design.

Yeah, we’ve been through this at length too, but you are going to keep minimising my points to “yOu DoN’T LiKe ThE DeCoR” so no point continuing :+1:

Going through your posts, there doesn’t seem to be much substance other than your disapproval of the design and decor.
Perhaps you can point me to something?

You do have a habit of repeating yourself ad nauseum on this and other subjects.

I have no doubt Trivela did their due diligence before investing the reported £300k on the locker.
It is already a success for matchdays (don’t forget it’s also open for Villa ladies).
Over a full season that’s 30 plus, with the hospitality GP probably in excess of the norm of 70%, given the pricing structure.

They is also the potential for expanding the corporate side on non match days.

I don’t see much prospect for success as an evening venue, unless some niche market can be found.

Does anyone know if The Locker is ever open and used when the Sunday Market is on?

Excuse me? :joy: I’ve offered plenty of explanation, you’re the one repeating one part of my input as if it covers all of it, then asking me to literally repeat myself again to explain everything I have already said. You can’t have it both ways, and as I said, there’s not much point continuing. Sorry you don’t agree.

Christ alive, I’m the one that repeats myself!

[/quote]just give him on the door the funny handshake ,works for me .

Open again with free entry for the champions league final Saturday . Credit for giving it a go but would expect no more than 50 ish in there unless they lower drink prices to get interest due to location mainly.
