The Locker

Disappointed to read that Mark.
Normally buffering is associated with the internet connection / WiFi strength. Shouldn’t really be a problem in the UK unless it is coming via an illegal streaming service.
Not a great start.

:joy::joy:. Every chance as we were near the front today (dad can’t stand up and down these days).

Was there a frisson of sexual tension in the locker when I appeared? If it was at the point I was removing my chunky jumper I guess it may have escalated way beyond a frisson.

Hate the way the cameras always pick me out and subtly objectify me. Sex sells I suppose.

I’ll be honest I only caught a second of it. It was a close up and our George said “There’s your mate” sure it was you though.

I watched at home on Sky, so no buffering and a clear picture, but I had to sit much closer to the TV than I usually do when I watch football, because the vast majority of the match was shown in long shot.

It was as if the cameras did not have the right lenses for football. I suppose that Sky is using the set-up that they normally have for their highlight show and hoping that it will do for a live match. I know that some pubs now have really huge screens, but watching a match like that on a big domestic TV would be difficult in a public space.

It was fine on the dodgy stick are the club still on dial up?

Yep, camera work was awful. If play was on the dar side you couldn’t see what was going on because the kept the shot out at maximum distance.

Asking for a friend: Do you need to buy a firestick from a dodgy bloke at the pub or can you buy a regular 4k firestick and watch the sky games?

Just buy one from Amazon.

As Sid said
Buy the new 4k firestick, then find a trusted mate to put you in touch with a service provider  he will then (after payment) send you directions on how to download a programme called DOWNLOADER, and you put in all the details he sends you and it’s done

Downloader is easy to install - it’s on the pukka Amazon app store for a start so you don’t even have to sideload it. Slightly more complicated is jailbreaking your Firestick to allow Downloader to work properly, but even then it is only a few clicks on the remote without having to do anything “dodgy”.

The real dodgy thing is then using Downloader to install a particular non-Amazon app that allows you access to the EFL games (which you may have to pay some shifty geezer for).

Well i did spend quite a bit of my youth in and around police stations, but not for the reasons YOU mentioned :joy::wink:

Opening on Friday evenings now 4-7 pm .
Really can’t see many using it tbh unless they drop the prices or have a happy hour.

The only thing I can think of is that they’re trying to tap into the local factories and businesses finishing and people fancying a few beers afterwards with those opening times.

It’s annoying when they drop the entrance charge for certain events because it encouraged more people to go in, why don’t they just drop the entrance charge all together if they know it’s prohibitive.

They keep the admission charge on matchdays because the place is full with season ticket holders and members and they don’t want huge queues to get the beer.

Needs to go back up to a fiver, not be reduced again. :kissing_heart:

Yes, that must be correct. Except the club don’t agree with you do they, otherwise they wouldn’t keep scrapping it every chance they get because they know people don’t want to spend £5 to get in.
