Not being disrespectful but how many ‘punts’ have actually materialised that he has mentioned? Best to just wait and see Andy…

I’d like to see he and Oteh up top. If those two stay fit, that would be decent.

I’d also say that Matt could probably do one more year as an impact sub, on reduced terms.

As many have said, it would need a good physio (and a large slice of luck) to keep them all fit for a decent percentage of the season though.

I think much depends on getting DJ off the wage bill, but we shall see…

Personally I wouldnt have an issue with Jamma signing another 1 year contract on the basis that it was on the right financial terms and it was made clear that he wasnt seen as being the main striker. More of an Andy Williams type signing and an experienced squad member.

It’s funny that it’s literally happened today, but I do appreciate that, thanks

He has they aren’t really rumours are they :rofl: Johnson Clarke Harris absolutely no chance he’s a top league one striker the likes of Wrexham will be after him

Bogle scored 17 last season and 8 this season but he hasnt played as much he averages a goal every 3/4 games over his career so 10-15 a season on average

I say this every summer, and it may well depend on what league they are in next season, but is Luke Pearce ready for a loan spell from Southampton? If we are going to persist with a less mobile target man, we need mobile and willing runners around Matt/Bogle/type number 9s. Pearce and Maher would be willing runners, I’m sure.

This may divide opinion, but I also love the Denmark 1986 style Hummel kit that Southampton and Coventry have had in recent seasons. They’d make cracking Walsall home and away kits, I reckon! I’ve also always wanted a Brazil colour scheme so maybe that’s the third strip sorted that never gets worn (unless we draw Palace in the cup)…

We would be daft to sign Josh Gordon .if he was a motor with that sort of mileage on the clock you’d go now we’re near it . same with Jamma check his past MOT ‘s and list of advisory’s. DJT Previous owners ,and service history .

I understand what you mean but that’s why you have a budget to build a squad rather than a team. Most top teams have the best firepower and options off the bench. Manchester City have Haaland and he could well be the difference between them and Liverpool/ Arsenal.

Every season, it seems, Walsall release big earners who make minimal contributions to results (Labadie, Wilko, etc) due to injury, form or character (DJ?).

For the machine to work, the smaller cogs have to move in the right direction. Perhaps that is why some faces don’t fit whilst others do. Only people that see the players every day in training will know the whole truth, so minor tweaks to the squad might be prudent…

Only us, Gillingham, Harrogate and Morecambe and the play off teams haven’t released the list yet

I think Sadler will sign Josh Gordon, he spent all season trying to make his system work, if he doesn’t have Gordon to play like he does, he’s going to spend most of next season trying to find another system that works. I’d much prefer playing a back four, play Knowles as an out and out winger ( If he can remember how) and have two out and out strikers waiting in the box to put the ball away. Can’t see it happening though.

TBH, not sure how Gordon improved the system.
