Hang on. We have been airbrushed from his history. According to that report, Luton signed him from Fulham :flushed:
There goes another windfall :joy::joy:

Took me less than 20 seconds to get to his Wiki page. 20 seconds the journo hadn’t got, apparently.

You cannot believe how crap some journalists really are.

Probably AI generated

When asked to comment on whether he was staying or going, Eli said “I’m going to Palace AI”.

Can see Palace doing quite well next season under this new manager.Think I’m right in saying they’ve took 13 points from 15 recently not too shabby if you ask me.

Best being Palace 4 Manure 0, worth double points if you ask me

Regarding Faal and links with a summer move to Shrewsbury, we cannot compete with that.

On the flip side, Shrewsbury released Ryan Bowman who could do a job and I’m sure that we’ve been linked with Daniel Udoh, from Shrewsbury, in the past.

Faal was good but missed a lot of quite easy chances. I have faith in Byfield, Sadler and even our new guy from Morecambe to help us strengthen the squad and attract replacements, ready for the new campaign.

It will be interesting to see if we are competing with Port Vale for some of our summer signings, because I imagine that we offer similar wages, geographical location and hopes of promotion, next season.

If we get 2-3 million windfall from Elijah moving in the summer and half of it is invested in the team, it should make a massive difference. Without going saft, it could secure 3 or 4 quality players on 2 year contracts, over and above the existing budget.

Not sure how much we could earn if he moves on. I cant envisage he’s worth more than 10 mill, so it all depends on the sell on percentage, if we indeed have one. I think we would do well to get a million from his sale.

Don’t see we’re Ben Sadler fits in with player recruitment quite honestly

Easily worth that and more. 10 goals in 25 games this season. Probably more with better service and as he ages/improves.

A player who has scored 10 goals in about 25 games in the Premier League in a poor side, is worth more than 10 million.

A million quid isn’t to be sniffed at anyway, it’s not a bad return.

Be in the 10-20m range I’d guess.

Championship teams will spend 10m on a player nowadays and so one with Prem pedigree, albeit only one season, would command more I reckon.

That’s what I was basing the 2-3 mill with a 20% sell on

We had one on the bench all season who could have got the goals if we had played to his strengths.

I believe it’s 10%

Oh ok. Bit disappointed if it is, particularly after Pombear comments

He was referring to the add-ons more than sell-on clauses. We want to hope that Bournemouth lose Solanke and Brentford lose Toney leading to them both battling it out for Elijah.

Talking of sell ons and Brentford - doubt we’ll ever grt anymore money for Rico, shame he’s so injury prone otherwise I think he’d have gone for a fair bit

I’m saying that he’s probably seen more Morecambe games than most so will have a better insight into their squad and who is decent. In fairness, if I was a Morecambe footballer, I’d see Walsall as an upgrade, in terms of stadium, training facilities and promotion chances (despite their relative success under Derek Adams).

For example, Jacob Bedeau was linked with us (I think he spent time at Villa - reportedly signed by them for £900,000) and has barely missed a minute - I think that he broke some kind of record this season for most minutes played by an outfield player in all four divisions. As a defender, he’s not going to be a crazy wage or a star signing, but they are the type of stalwarts that get you promoted, I think.

He’ll also know all about Micky Mellon Jnr. Who was a great loan signing. We’ve also been linked with Jake Taylor, who would be a great signing, if we could keep him fit.
