Oh God, it looks like Daniel .
According to the āMoleā those signings have fallen through. I donāt particularly want them to be āexcitingā. I want them to have some experience and be able to cope with a long hard season in this Division.
Must be the clouds in your eyes Cowsā¦
I can understand criticism if after 10, 12 games we have a yardstick to measure these new players by. The transfer window is still open and we have a couple of weeks to get in further players. I have no idea how good the new lad is, and i would imagine most on here havent either, Im not sure who some think we should sign, we are a 4th Division team with what appears to be a midtable budget. Maybe better, experienced players wonāt come, rather than we arenāt trying to get them. I do ageee that the club should choose their words more carefully if they have said expect exciting signings in case they dont materialise. Lets give the new guys a chance.
Iām not sure Iām seeing anyone saying donāt give them a chance.
What people are asking for is some decent experienced signings to help a young and inexperienced squad, off the back of some decent cup runs, and a playoff run in front of bigger than normal crowds all generating revenue we arenāt accustomed to. Oh and chuck in new owners who said they were accelerators.
I must be the only one who thinks this is a decent signing. Competition for Weir and Browne - pushes them to be better. Derby PL2 & Wales U19 captain - so clearly got something about him. Sign an experienced CB, then our defence is sorted.
Only other positions left are in midfield - for which we have 2 weeks to sign the right players.
Meh, weāve had loads like that over the years. Danny Guthrie, for instance, could go from really slow to slow in just a couple seconds.
Money in, premiums to investors out. Simples!
Not to mention several relatively big wages off the books, a few probably on reduced terms and a decent fee for Taylor Allen.
I keep hoping we are saving it for two big hitters in midfield but my gut feeling is that this wonāt happen.
As you say, nothing against any one we have signed, but this isnāt going to get anyone excited, is it?
Two weeks until we kick off the season.
I donāt think Pomlett is capable of that with a microphone in front of him . Heās always been the same. Which makes you wonder why Trivela had him fronting the forum.
The budgets gone just top up now with required number of loans .Gamble closed the Till and is cashing up.
Ben Sadler will have a rude awakening with his plans to grow attendances, if we donāt show any ambition with the remaining signings.
Itās all good having the youngest team in the league with some promising players as long as you get off to a good start and even then you need more experience to get you over line as seen last season.
Hope we donāt make the same mistake and this time have poor start with a young team that could lose confidence very quickly with an understandably anxious and still reeling over last seasonās disappointment support base .
A bit of experience and know how needed this time round who yes cost a few quid .
Just a stooge.
There just to deflect no, doubt.
He probably doesnāt even realise it.

Thatās one explanation. Another, more worrying one, is that heās still effectively in charge. And that it was his own decision to front the meeting.
If that is the case, forget L1, we will be L2 with the odd flirtation at best.
I genuinely think that the young lad might be a decent signing. Good pedigree and i wonāt judge him until Iāve seen him first hand. Caveat to this signing is Iām really surprised an experienced CH hasnāt been brought in as our back line is very short of said experience. Same can be said in the middle of the park, that experience is needed to help manage the young lads we have. Whether itās ROM and one other( preferably with experience in getting out of this league), then that would be perfect. Letās see what happens before FGR game
Because Boycott was busy shooting Chinchillas or sone other defenceless critter.
