But didn’t he then say ‘ok carry on if it makes you happy?’
For what it’s worth whether you rate Levi or not, his work rate was always good. Ability is limited no doubt but is effort was great. If he goes, he’ll get my best wishes. The powers that be at Walsall need to look at themselves because this will prove , if we ever needed any that January was extremely poor.
I thought some of the comments on the forum at the end of last season thought Levi would go off to the Drogs for a spell?
Yeah he should have a pic of the true club legend josh gordon
Can we do that? Will it need to a freebie or is there some in the coffers for some compensation
I’d like to see one of the bad boys back .
It is more looking like a punt they just thought might be part of a promotion team scoring a few goals (which he did do including in play off semi final) and then sell him to someone else in league two at some point next season.
The disaster of not going up happened and now it looks like reality has hit and Sadler clearly dosen’t rate him as someone to feature regularly for 40 games so now he’s just back to 3rd/4th choice at mid table league two club.
I could understand it more if they were three forwards ahead of him who were in the 21-25 age range but there isn’t. Two of them ahead in the pecking order have a combined age of 72!!
Going to be some pressure on Pressley to hit the ground running. I’m sure he’ll score a few goals but not expecting him to be the second coming of Lowe.
Beyond that there dosen’t seem to be much planning apart from veteran forwards playing far more minutes than they realistically can at their ages happening again.
FFS nobody knows for certain what’s happening with Levi and neither do I
However a lot of people are jumping to conclusions based on one statement
So here’s another conclusion Levi has come back from the break at lower level of fitness than expected and needs to work to improve this and his general conditioning. The staff are disappointed but working with him to bring him up to speed but at present don’t feel exposing him to match situation would be beneficial and be an injury risk ?
I know this could total but too many people with an axe to grind to keep an open mind. I get it I understand we all do but FFS it is getting draining tbh
Now feel free to shoot the messager lol
I agree. It is consistent with the idea that Sadler does not like to criticise his players in public and with Levi not getting any game time. But who knows?
People seem to like to invent a scenario, treat it as fact and then, inevitably, blame Sadler for it.
So you have given a theory, which is actually not based on anything that has been said, but others shouldn’t discuss what they think has happened/is happening?
This isn’t the first time this kind of thing has happened on Sadler’s watch. So people will obviously draw conclusions. Whether they are right or wrong, we’ll see.
Saying you are down the pecking order when you have Jamille Matt and Josh Gordon in front of you. I’d find that pretty insulting, to be honest.
Even if he wasn’t up to speed, you’d still put him on the bench, where you can name as many as you want and give him 20 minutes.
The fact he’s now missed the last three friendlies all together and Sadler saying he’s last in the pecking order doesn’t tell you that he may be off?
Why put him on the bench if he is in no position to be on the pitch ??? I don’t know
It could be a disciplinary matter.
Sadler likes to change both his strikers for the last third of a game. That means 4 is the bare minimum. It is just not plausible to say that having 5 means that someone is left to train alone. And Adomah is being counted as one of the 5.
Exactly it’s a theory and I’m glad you see my point other discussion points are been discussed as facts imho we’re in truth we all don’t know
Thank you for joining in the shoot the messenger part it is the UTS and tbh I would not change it, it’s a forum after all
I just responded to your post. I never shot anyone.
The season only stopped for this club on May 26th. Must’ve been some three weeks off he had to come back woefully out of shape.
Let’s also remember the club still has Matt and Farq on the books, neither can really be described as in the peak of fitness currently!
Got any names….go on
Lol
He played 30 minutes in the first friendly has did all the forwards
