The Official Summer Transfer Rumour Thread - 2025 edition

Missed the point I stated it wasn’t fact but just trying to point out to all those who have posted opinions that they are just that opinions nobody knows the facts :person_shrugging:t2:

Maybe Sadler has decided we need a smaller pacier forward alongside our other options as some of us have suggested.
We seriously lack pace upfront.

Read the post I didn’t say it was a fact and in fact I stated it could just be :poop: quote/ unquote.
Just highlighting nobody knows the facts opinions are fine that’s what forums are for but a lot of people seem to love taking it as fact especially if it backs up there negative or positive view of the club (not aimed at you btw or anyone specific tbh)

Anyway I won’t respond to any other comments in case I get accused of hijacking the thread

Only one trialist today we thinking it was Sawyers or the other guy from Wednesday?

I’d say Sawyers based on the other two in midfield in the first half were Thomas and Maher.

No one has accused you of anything as far as I can see. You appear to want them to?

You feel strongly about something you should say it. People will respond, it’s okay to be strong enough to hold your views, despite of what others might think.

it’s kind of weirdly worded in the E&S, implies it’s another trialist

Calm down we’ve had one tizzy and resignations today .don’t want another one today .

Standard practice Semaj. Surprised they get as much right as they do lol…

Would be surprised if players like Flint or Sawyers give us more than 1 or 2 trial games. They have done enough in their careers for clubs to make a judgement on them and they can get a feel for the club themselves in that time plus a weeks training. Risk of injury for no return is big for players at this stage. If either are involved against Derby then it would be as permanent signings in my opinion

Levi could be the next DJ.

Unlikely to be around to be a DJ i reckon

DJ but without the fans calling for him to be brought off the bench.

Like EL said… why use a “fan favourite” as a trialist to get the fans excited about a come back, then just cut him loose or make weird vague press comments. Its a waste of our time and his.

I get that but there is a perfectly possible scenario where he “cuts us loose” for a better offer financially or he just doesn’t fancy our style or his probable use in the team.
He will want to play and enjoy his football in his last 1 or 2 years.
Hopefully we are aligned and he gets announced on Monday.
As an aside not sure I remember him as a fan favourite. He polarised opinion somewhat and I believe he was quite vocal at times about it.
At the end of the day Sadlers/Trivelas system is what it is whether we like it or not. If Sadler and or Sawyers genuinely don’t believe they are compatible (which would be sad) I would rather he didn’t sign. We don’t need another DJ situation.

Around this time last year Adomah joined as a trialist. Can remember him not being risked at Tamworth due to the artificial pitch they have but he signed a week or so later.

I’m sure Romaine is still based in the Midlands so feels a logical move for him.

Who’s the guy from Sheffield Wednesday. Just have missed that one

Has the Pressley Amantchi combo been tried at all?

Dj but nobody cares

Thats why i put it in a quote… i loved watching him… it was some of the old boys who has a moan… racial lazy undertones maybe.

Not a favourite for me - but one of the few to have gone on to bigger and better.
