A league one club sign a league one striker.
A bit like when we signed Tom Bradshaw, as a league one club, from Shrewsbury, who had been relegated to league two.
In terms of realistic potential targets, Eisa (ex Grimsby) is still available (I think) and the young lad from Wolves, Chem Campbell, might be on the radar. Loaned to Charlton and Wycombe but not quite at that level yet, in terms of goalscoring, so a local league two club might be on the cards.

Trivela have no pride in this club.They are not interested in progress to a higher league.This is clear from the way they are running the club.Little investment in players only stopgap signings just to fill gaps.Gensanx is a realist.

The thing about these transfer windows is that agents are continually muttering in their players ears âDonât take these offers yet because I can still get you a better one once the clubs start panickingâ The big money transfers especially. And clubs arenât prepared to let their lesser players go until they secure the big ones and so the waterfall turns into a flood on the final day

Thereâs a middle ground between outrageous hysteria and dismissing anything even remotely critical of Trivela/The Club at the moment and itâs transfer activity.
Do I think they are skint? No. Clearly not. Beyond access to their bank accounts, thereâs very little reason to believe that. These are people involved in professional football themselves, NFL players, people linked to Marvel, before you even get to the investment side of it. Sure their not âSheik Mansoorâ loaded, but that is plenty enough for League One/Two level. We spent decades sustaining it using the benevolence of one bog manufacturer.
But there are also absolutely fair questions around their commitment, aims, ambiguity and priorities.
Stating they desire to be a multi club ownership model doesnât negate the fact that they are investing in other things before they are investing in us. I couldnât give a shit what their model is, I care about Walsall Football Club. Until weâre not absolutely bang average, languishing in a shit league, playing boring football with the same mostly predictable results every season, as we have for the last 5 whilst putting our prices up, I donât want to see them investing in any football club that isnât Walsall FC, let alone writing all their debts off and purchasing it wholesale themselves.
Their stated aim is promotion, and challenging for The Championship. Their stated aim, not mine. They also called themselves âAcceleratorsâ. Our recruitment so far has not screamed acceleration, or indeed the players we are rumoured to be linked with.
So while I have no time for grand statements of rebellion, claiming they are shysters who are ripping the good people of Walsall off and donât give a shit about us, I also have no time for the usual bang average excuses, like players are busy, agents are at fault, itâs tough for other clubs too that have been repeated every year ad nauseum since we have been as stated above, shit for years. Until that changes, people will have their doubts.

Agree with everything you say there and why should you just agree with people when you donât . The quality of strikers on trial says it all. An embarrassment. If these are all we can afford where the hell is all the money going would be my question !

They are exactly that, trialists. Its nothing to do with budgets or what we are willing to spend. Its a few players the club are looking at, all teams do it.

Iâll respond , most reasonable people are fully aware of the shortcomings with the football team.
It makes no sense to think the owners wouldnât want to see progress on the pitch , unless you are only trying to stir things up against the club you purportedly support.
There is always a place for constructive comments and informed criticism.
They have already moved the club forward considerably off the pitch since they have been here.
What we donât need is your constant inane comments belittling everything the club have done and as far as I can see are continuing to do.
If you have nothing constructive to add itâs probably best if you STFU !
