I don’t disagree with you improvements have been made off the pitch. On the pitch I will never agree with anyone that Pomlett/ Trivela are improving from the Bonser period because there is no evidence for me to do so

Agreed but when I did speak to BB it was obvious he was a massive fan so would encourage the transfer rather than ‘block’ it.

Harsh, yes hes very repetitive but to tell someone too stfu is going against what a forum is for and quite rude.
Not sure If Mods give warnings for repetitiveness , if they do then that should be the way to go.

I find it hard to believe we could get anyway near affording Swann but I’m slightly more positive that he is the sort of calibre striker we are looking at as I do rate him
Perhaps we should adopt the rules of Just A Minute and disallow repetition, deviation and, um…er…hesitation. Puns are allowed though, which is a good thing.

Hes happy to throw out the abuse but won’t answer when I say that we are far worse off under Pomlett and Trivela than we were under Bonser. Far poorer players, lower standard of football and no real hope of getting out the (old) 4th division
Just abuses people that don’t go along with it all
Bonser jumped ship after milking the club dry and getting us relegated. We are now starting to bulid club back up piece by piece.

We are in a much better position than the one we were when Pomlett was doing it on his own and we’re in a better position than the last few years of Bonser’s reign.
Probably not compared to the Bonser years between 95 and 07, but that’s down to current league position, but there has definitely been improvement over the last 18 months to suggest we’re heading back in the right track, compared to the previous 10-15 years of neglect.

I agree…the quality of those signings will define our season. Although I haven’t been to the friendlies I hope we can do better than the current triallists from what I have read.

Why would that matter? Everyone is asking for there to be investment made for a couple of strikers, rumours for fans of another club stating we’ve had a bid rejected for a pretty good striker and the response is “It’s nonsense”?

Under Bonsers 20 years 4 in the championship 12 in league 1 and 4 in what is now league 2. You are deluded if you think Trivela will achieve anything like that with the quality of player they are willing to invest in. Lower mid table in League 2 (best case scenario)
