Not sure Ramsden was ever " well off." All smoke and mirrors , it looks like ,now. Another reason why we should have made more of it.

A bit like Merse. It was fun while it lasted but it was always going to end in tears.

I want excitement from my club but it has to be sustainable. Maher could be our next Paterson, with the right nurturing.

I wouldn’t write off Jamma either because if we handle the minutes correctly, he could still be a match winner. Strong as an ox. We do need another strong younger version though: maybe Moore could learn from the old stager…

We were actually a bit of a decent draw then, he wouldn’t come now

Few times I saw Oteh play he was decent. Agree about his injury record - also not sure if he fits the system.

If it’s true we bid for Swann I’m actually quite encouraged even though Mansfield rejected it. Fingers crossed for some news soon. UTS

The Mo thing isn’t really a rumour though, it’s a pretty obvious thing to do and no one should be surprised that we are trying to sign him. Getting him is a different kettle of fish though.

If they were still in the money i think another loan would be possible. But i think they will be looking to offload him for bit of cash to be honest.

And if he is too come back on loan, it wont be till the eve of the season when they’ve got their own squad in order.

Why “a different kettle of fish”?
THIS IS a variant of the far more common “pretty kettle of fish”, meaning a disagreeable situation, which goes back at least to the early 18th century. In former centuries a “kettle” was a metal pot used for boiling liquids or cooking, and a fish-kettle was a common household utensil. The phrase “a kettle of fish” was also used in northern England and Scotland to describe an outdoor salmon picnic, as well as the pot in which it was prepared, and the ironic figurative usage perhaps reflects the dismay of finding that something expected to be pleasurable is in fact the opposite. Only when the lid was removed would the contents be revealed.

Always wondered what it meant and where it originated from…

Might be worth asking though…

Does make you wonder if the reason we are leaving it late to get some attacking options in is all about Adebayo moving on from luton. Or probably not ?
