That explains it. Reality will bite tomorrow when Josh is played lone striker :scream: against bcfc

Exactly what Sadler stated a few weeks ago and is still probably the case, no harm waiting as long as we get the right players in.

I’d love to know who these right players are ?. Most of the decent league 2 strikers have been snapped up

Wait its friday. No wonder work was leaving me messages, asking me where i was

We all would, but they’re not going to say who they’re after are they. I know it isn’t perfect, but we need to have faith that the club will get it right. That’s not me being a happy clapper, but just trying to still hold some hope. If they don’t then I’ll be the first to say they haven’t, but I’m not going to shoot them down without seeing what they can actually do.

One last thing, just because us as fans deem a player to be worthy, doesn’t mean the club and management team do.

We’ve got three of those!

As frustrating as it is waiting, I think we just have to see what we end up with. MS said we’d be bringing in two forwards, and we will.
We’ve signed so called proven players in the past and they’ve been naff, we’ve signed players from ‘farmers leagues’ or u23 ‘crap’ with not great scoring records that people have written off as scraping the barrel (Draper, Adebayo) and they’ve been good. We just can’t tell until we see how the team looks with them in it over a few games at least.

The opening ceremony of the Olympics is nearly as bad as our planning for centre forwards :joy:

One of those not quite good enough for the championship yet (in a poor team) but showed enough at this level two years back to suggest he’d be a good signing especially at his age.

Does he have any Midlands links as was thinking he came through at West Brom but probably confusing him with another Tyreece they had in their youth team a few years back.

I wonder if in October people will still be claiming its all under control; just waiting for the jigsaw to drop to get the strikers we targetted.

I think we are struggling…

Worst thing is after Lee being sacked we went on to play him in the end and triggering the clause. Was it Bonser or Lee who didnt want to play him?

According to all the dirty laundry aired at the time Colin Lee was totally innocent and it was the boards decision to force him not to play. They even offered him a contract on lower terms than he would have got would he have played.

Tyreece Simpson has signed for Stevenage. Who is left that is not a trialist or a kid on loan?

Deon Moore and Kamwa!!

They’ll find another excuse then don’t worry about that :rofl:

You are cherry picking our history.
In the 1950’s we were playing in front of good gates and managed to finish last place in the football league in 1951–52, 1952–53 and 1953–54 and improved to only second bottom in 1954–55.
We managed to stay as members of the football league only because of touting around for votes among the other clubs.
