This is very controversial, and very much agree Gordon spend 3 seasons chasing thin air. But I do think he is an opening day brace away from a 20 goal season. Just needs something to fall his way to repeat his form at Barrow. He is also very intelligent and you can tell he makes the right runs and if you are having to make something out of nothing it’s difficult to finish, let’s be honest though there’s only so much a one man press can do. Would rather us sign a tried and tested pressing forward, or someone from the lower league who has a record and there are deffo better options but we could sign much much worse.

That’s the real problem I have with Sadler, he has tunnel vision when it comes to players like Gordon and DJT.
Sorry to be disrespectful to those players but they’re not up to standard…not even close!
Reading from the thread, most fans will be hugely disappointed if we sign Gordon, not to mention a backwards step to our promotion aspirations.
No team can afford to carry passengers, especially one going for a top three finish.
If Sadler can’t see how bad they are, he’s not going to be a very good manager.

some of the hate Gordon gets is mad we have had a lot worse over the years. ye fair enough he doesnt score as much as we want but last season we had others who scored. He does a lot for the team, When Pete Wild at Barrow asked him to use his energy in and around the box he had a brilliant season. As long as we recruit another 1 or 2 strikers I think he will be a good signing way better then the likes of Gaffney, Osei Yaw, Andy Williams etc etc

Neither Gordon or Jamma are good enough to fire us out of this awful division. They would be subs at very best.

No denying we have had worse, much worse.
The point is we want to do better, right?
I doubt he is going to come to be a bit part player for cheap, we should be looking for better (in my opinion)
