Does the club not realise just how much of a lift a decent signing gives to a fan base? I think a lot of us are feeling a bit down at the moment given our lack of ambition in relation to other clubs in our league. A quality signing would have lifted all of us, instead: nothing!! We have made two decent signings so far this pre-season: Lakin and Adomah, the rest are pretty average. We are 4 or 5 players down on last season and have very little quality: how is this incremental progression? Sadler will be gone by Christmas at this rate, as this team will struggle to score goals and the defence has a mistake in it! Totally disheartening!!

This isnāt me questioning or doubting DJās virus complications as I believe that it is legit and genuine. However, I find it a bit strange how DJ didnāt travel out with the squad to Ireland with the rest of the squad. Earing and Daniels are both injured and ruled out of training or the game but still were present on the trip. There was a big emphasis on the importance of team building and bonding.
Obviously we donāt know the full details or picture but surely DJ would have been fine to get on an hour flight, as heās been at the training ground throughout pre-season doing bits and pieces. He wouldāve had a flight and room assigned to his name as Iām assuming it was booked prior to the virus issue. Iām sure thereās probably a legitimate reason for his omission and Iām probably reading too much into it based on past history.

Wasnāt it said earlier before the Ireland trip that DJ was following his own training program at Essington albeit a a way off hence not expected back soon.
If that was true imagine he stayed back to work on what he could but your guess is as good as mine

If we canāt compete at the top this season (after our massive takeover), now Stockport and Wrexham have gone, then we NEVER will!!!

It was about team ābondingā according to Sadler. Injured DD was present.
He may have usurped DJ as our highest earner, but for all the bleating about Gordon itās DJ who has been the real issue and drain on our somewhat limited resource.

Just been told Tumbleweed has signed
So sending a 16 year old out on loan whoās not even got a professional contract is a sign we are bringing in forwards .I feel a lot better now .

Itās such a shame we have a week to go before the season starts and at the moment there is going to be no optimism at all! We have all the makings of a good squad just missing two strikers, canāt believe we have left it this late.

Thatās very true.
DJ has been a disastrous signing and needs to go, even if I believe he could be a great asset with a more balanced playing style.
The use of budget on forwards has generally been poor from the outside looking in.

Just a feeling as some have said on here with two strikers and one one the bench (Wragg) if the one on the bench has gone something has to happen else the one on the bench (Wragg) wouldnāt be loaned out now but later

Letās just hope we do not suffer injuries like last season as we will struggle to put a team out. With their history, chances are Farq, Jamma and Donervan will all likely succumb to some sort of ailment. Weāve already lost Comley and Uncle Albert is 37 so cannot play 46 matches. Plus Flash will keep getting banned for bookings.
Genuinely this squad is looking very thin with zero strength in depth up front. I know that Sadler has to say they right things but behind the scenes he must be bricking it as it is his job that will be gone first.
