Once every 7 or 8 games. As long itâs short-term and cheap, just to pad the bench out. Movement is similar to Matt. Not really a central striker though.
I would love to see Sawyers back.
I was always a fan, even though he divided opinion.
I think he adapted his game in the Championship and PL.
From what I read, he played deeper than the No. 10 role that he mostly played whilst with us.
Anyone watch him with West Brom?

If we want to increase our possession stats then sawyers is the man !! Let him play in the middle of the park and do hia rhinf! I fear he is not a Sadler player though as doesnât run enough

Update on Wilkinson. Intial talks have taken place today, but nothing has been agreed so far. Personal terms seem to be the issue.

Heard anything on why sawyers was there ?
Wilkinson just doesnât suit our style at all for me. Canât imagine how many times he will shrug and wave his hands in the air as another ball into the channel or punted neck high to him sails past.
Talented and unlucky with injury whilst here but would rather we spent money on 2 proper forwards. Unless we have enough budget for all 3 then maybe.

Thought he chased shadows to be honest still far far from convinced heâs going to make up for Hutchâs impact.
As someone else said, not totally against signing him but not going mad ÂŁÂŁ wise
But surely it goes against all that they have been saying - âwe donât want to get in just anybody; weâll wait for the right players etcâ
As technically gifted as Wilko is, he doesnât fit the channel ball football that Sadler seems to prefer - I wonder what he thought of what he saw from the stands today, 37% possession etc. He isnât going to chase around like Jellis and Flash, is he. He also wonât be cheap, and if we have missed out on players because of wages, then surely this would go against that - surely others we looked at would be asking for or on similar to Wilko.

Signing Wilkinson would be an utterly bizarre turn of events given Sadler released him! Presumably because he plays in a position we donât use as he isnât a striker.
